Good morning, Church family!

Just wanted you to know that we are working to improve our Facebook live streams. Also, the church council voted to discontinue the Sunday school Bible Study live stream due to some health issues with our teachers and their families.

❤️ We do have some new teachers and new Bible studies that are beginning today! We invite you to join us in person for classes for all ages ❤️ Please continue to pray for our community to be reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

PRBC News
By: Renee Bracken

Carrie Barnhart opened our Sunday morning services by singing, "Grace Has a Story to Tell" from Galatians 1:11-24. Paul is teaching the Galations that there is nothing bigger, better or more important that God. We are all born into darkness because of the sin in the world and what we do has consequences. We see three aspects of God's grace in these verses. First, grace is given, not gained (v.11-14). Paul shares about when He was a persecutor of Christians. He had all the education and stature when he was a persecutor; he knew the law better than most and had been raised under the law. After his conversion, however, he realized how good Jesus is and how blessed he was that God hadn't stricken him dead. We call this common grace. It's the grace that brings the daily blessings of just waking up, having places to buy what we need and experience God's grace that we don't deserve. There is also particular grace. This is the grace of God's love and saving power which is given to those who come to saving faith in Jesus. The second aspect of grace is that it is personal but not private (v.15-17). Paul knew by God's grace he was changed. He also knew he was supposed to share with others about this grace and the new life they could have by believing on and accepting Christ. We should be so overwhelmed with this grace that we pour it out on others. People should see this in our lives and notice we are different because of God's grace. We should cry with others, rejoice with others and ministers to others. The grace of God we have received is to be shared with others. Last, grace brings glory but it's all His glory (v.18-24). Paul made it clear that everything in His life that had changed was all God and nothing in and of himself. Grace isn't for us only personally. It's for the world to see God and what He has done for us. It shows them He is the only way.

Proverbs 31 will meet Tuesday, September 8, at 6:30pm to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Supper will be provided.
