So…this spring introduced me to Mulberries! I put a small bush (2 ft tall last year) in the garden and as you can see it likes living here. To say the bush is overloaded would be the understatement of the century. 40 ft tall and equal distance around.

Needless to say I am BUSY trying to use more berries than I ever could imagine. The animals that live near the tree are tired of eating the delectable treats.

Dear friends, I would like to invite you to join me in collecting these sweet treats and perhaps you too will explore the culinary experience of Mulberries!

We moved here from New England where the berries are green, red, yellow, black, and more but don’t offer the experience these black beauties do.

Text me if you would like to join in the fun. Incidentally, these power packed berries offer a tremendous boost to ones immune system in addition to several other powerful health benefits!

Cracker Barrel Chicken ‘n Dumplings - OH MY WORD, KEEP THIS😋
INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup milk
2 quarts chicken broth
3 cups cooked chicken
PREPARATION
In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut the butter into the dry ingredients with a fork or pastry blender. Stir in the milk, mixing with a fork until the dough forms a ball.
Heavily flour a work surface. You’ll need a rolling pin and something to cut the dumplings with. I like to use a pizza cutter. I also like to use a small spatula to lift the dumplings off the cutting surface.
Roll the dough out thin with a heavily floured rolling pin. Dip your cutter in flour and cut the dumplings in squares about 2x2-inches each. It’s okay for them not to be exact. Just eye ball it. Some will be bigger, some smaller, and some might be shaped funny.
Use the floured spatula to put them on a heavily floured plate. Just keep flouring between the layers of dumplings.
To cook them, bring the broth to a boil. Drop the dumplings in one at a time, stirring while you add them. The extra flour on them will help thicken the broth.
Cook them for about 15 to 20 minutes or until they don't taste doughy.
Add the cooked chicken to the pot and serve.

"And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.". This same Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead will be pouring out of His Bride...it will extend out of us to shift atmospheres, cultures and nations."

In my morning prayer time I lifted all of my family members, friends, friends of friends, Church peeps, neighbors, governments, the whole world!!!!! In my heart was disappointment, fear, lonliness, just heavy ache.

I am now old and I just want you to know that this isn't the first time I have sat in prayer with such heaviness. My feeble mind can't even sort through all of the dark discouraging things we are facing. Many would just give up. I am battle friendly so I know God is able as He has brought me through things I could write a series on.

But then, a secret that I learned very early in my Christian walk springs up in my soul to encourage me. Words we sang with Pastor Gil, John and Judy, Arthur and Grace, Doris and Dick, Stan and Wilma, Jody, Dale and Helen, Heide and family, Charisios, Debbie, the students from UConn. Not so many bodies in our small Church that met in a school Gymnasium, but each of us intensely worshipped God as the Holy Spirit drew us into a relationship of discipleship that has only grown in our lives. If I can remember correctly the
years were late 70's early 80's.

Today, crushed by this virus, many of us are now experiencing a strong lesson in discipleship that presents to each of us differently. Some it's health, others finances, others discouragement, and I could go on and on. Over the years these same things engaged me in battles where I learned a very simple truth that has never failed me. You see I once was young and now I am old and I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children beg for bread.

Our worship songs came directly from scripture, stories from David's Psalms, Joshua's battles, Gods love and compassion. My opening paragraph was a song I have sang throughout my life but especially when times were hard.
It still causes my feet to dance even in the battle....it goes like this..

If that same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead
dwells in you, dwells in you.
If that same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead
dwells in you dwells in you
It will quicken your mortal body
If that spirit Dwells in you
It will quicken your mortal body
If that Spirit Dwells in you!

Sing that a few time and the promises of Roman 11 will change every situation that concerns you today.

I can't help but dance with joy when I sing this.

It will quicken your mortal body,,,ask that Spirit to dwell in you today then dance with me.
