How are you giving thanks today?

"Now Thank We All Our God", number 102 in The United Methodist Hymnal, invites us to consider what we have received from God, and how we might proclaim our gratitude. Surprisingly, the words for the hymn were written amidst struggle and want, as Martin Rinckart and his family were refugees during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648).

We had a fun community quilt group at Crystal Lake United Methodist today! There were only five of us today but it looks like it was all about Susan😂 She brought in quilts that she finished at home and I had enough sense to take pictures of her with them but then we got busy😂 So Jan, Clarice, and Marilyn I’m sorry I forgot to take your pictures but know that you are valued and appreciated ❤️
Jan, Marilyn and I tied a quilt while Clarice and Susan prepared two more for us to tie next time.
We then had a time of socializing over cupcakes and would have enjoyed lingering longer but I had to go pick up Poli❤️
