The Children’s Disciple-making Ministry will be hosting Child Dedication Services on February 8, 2026 in both the 9:00 and the 10:45 service. The Child Dedication Service provides you, the parent, with an opportunity to publicly dedicate your child back to the Lord while dedicating your parenting to God, promising to raise your son or daughter according to biblical standards. One of our pastors will do the dedication in whichever service you prefer. Any age child may be dedicated.
If you are interested in having your child/children dedicated, please plan to attend one of the prerequisite classes. The class examines the biblical example for dedication and biblical parenting and provides free resources. Please register for the Dedication Class on our website. http://www.efccl.org/dedication The next class will be held on Sunday, January 25, at 9:00 am in Room 215 and again on Sunday, February 1, at 10:45 am in Room 213

With the Holiday Season upon us, I wanted to make you aware of some important dates for AWANA and upcoming events at the church.

AWANA:
• November 26 and 27: NO CLUB
(Normal club schedules will resume December 3 and 4)
• December 24 and 25: NO CLUB
• December 31 and January 1: NO CLUB
(Normal club schedules will resume January 7 and 8)

CHRISTMAS SERVICES:
• December 14: Christmas Program, In the Beginning | 6:00 pm
This is a family friendly program that features music from our choir and full orchestra, videos, and more.

• December 24: Christmas Eve service | 5:00 pm
This is one of our highest attended services and is a great opportunity to invite your friends and family to celebrate the birth of Christ! Please note that there is no childcare available during this service.

• December 28: ONE Service only at 9:00 am.
There is no childcare or classes available for this Sunday morning service.

As we head into winter, please know any schedule changes due to weather will be texted to parents and posted on our website as well—check efccl.org/awana for updates.

New resources for May include books that help kids name their feelings, understand that emotions don’t define them, and practice responding with praise and trust in God. Some titles focus directly on emotions, while others highlight worship, gratitude, and God's steadfast character. Please stop by the resources shelves on the lower level in the drop off area. As we approach the Advent season, we want to share a wonderful resource designed to enrich your family’s journey through this meaningful time of year. Advent is a time of preparation, reflection, and anticipation as we look forward to celebrating the birth of Christ. This year we are offering the book Promises Made, Promises Kept by Marty Machowski.

Marty Machowski's Promises Made, Promises Kept shows families how the birth and life of Jesus fulfilled God's Old Testament promises of a Savior. This fun “upside-down” book includes fourteen Bible stories. Begin the week before Christmas with the first side, Promises Made which has seven stories that explore the Old Testament prophecies of the coming Messiah. On Christmas Day, flip the book over and continue by reading Promises Kept with seven more stories that vividly illustrate how Jesus's life, death, and resurrection and the beginning of the church fulfill God's promises.

PRESCHOOL PARENTS: This Sunday, August 25, the preschool class (only) will be closed due to carpet installation. We will have clipboards with coloring pages available at the table for your child to use during the sermon time. All other classrooms birth-2 yrs and K-3rd grade will remain open. Looking forward to worshipping together with your whole family under the tent!
