Guess whose birthday it is. Father Time has not been fair in his dispensation of the ravages of time. My wife looks like she has aged one day since we got married 45 years ago while he seems to have etched every day of my 74 years in my wrinkles. I could take solace in the Yoruba assumption that if the wife is looking good, it is because the husband is doing a yeoman’s job of taking good care of her. But I know better. The truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth, the absolute truth is that it is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in my eyes. Yes, I have indeed found a good thing and received favor, mercy and grace from He who is gracious and merciful. Proverbs 18:22. So folks, what I want you to do for me is make to give thanks to the Lord for her life and say a prayer for her.
