If He is the King, it changes everything about who we are. You aren't just going through life on your own—you are loved by a King. You are a child of the King. You are chosen and redeemed by the King. Rest in that truth today! 🤍

Sunday mornings are for worship; the moments after are for community. Faith brought us together, but love made us a family. 🤍

Have questions about faith, life, or where God is leading you next? Glad you asked! 🙋‍♂️
Starting this Sunday, join us as Pastor Mark kicks off our brand-new sermon series: "Glad You Asked: Turning Questions into Transformation."
It's easy to think having questions means having weak faith, but God isn't intimidated by our curiosity. In fact, wrestling with honest questions is often where real growth begins. Over the next few weeks, we’ll dive into some of life’s biggest questions and discover how seeking answers can lead to true transformation.
Service Times & Location:
🗓️ Kicks off this Sunday!
⏰ Services at 8:00, 9:30, or 11:00 AM

Human wisdom says play it safe, hold the grudge, control the outcome, and put yourself first.
God says forgive, surrender, trust Him with what you can’t see, and find life by laying it down.
1 Corinthians 1:18 calls the message of the cross “foolishness to those who are perishing,” and honestly? Sometimes following God does feel completely upside down to the world around us. Choosing grace over revenge doesn't make sense on paper. Giving when you're afraid doesn't match normal logic. Trusting His timing when everything feels delayed seems crazy to a culture obsessed with instant results.
But God’s "foolishness" is wiser than human brilliance. His ways aren't designed to make sense to a world operating on self-preservation—they’re designed to bring true life, peace, and ultimate good.
When His path feels illogical, remember: You don't need the world’s permission for God's wisdom to be right. Trust the Process. Trust the Creator. 🤍✨
Verse to meditate on today:
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." — 1 Corinthians 1:18

There is a profound journey woven through the songs we will be singing together this coming service.

We begin by declaring the goodness and personal love of **"My Jesus,"** reminding ourselves of who He is and what He has done. That praise naturally turns into an honest admission of our daily surrender—**"Lord, I Need You"**— acknowledging that we cannot walk this faith journey on our own strength.

As we pour out that need, our hearts cry out for intimacy with the gentle prayer to **"Draw Me Close,"** seeking His presence above all else. And finally, resting in that close space near His heart, we step into faith and expectation, declaring **"I Will Be Healed"**—trusting in His power to restore every broken piece of our lives.

Join us this weekend as we worship, reflect, and encounter His presence together.

**This Week’s Set List:**

* *My Jesus*
* *Lord, I Need You*
* *Draw Me Close*
* *I Will Be Healed*

Which of these songs is speaking most to your heart this week?

💧 The Weekly Drop: What is Worship?
Ever wondered why so many worship songs focus on personal terms like "I," "me," and "my"?
In this week’s Drop, Tim (Praise Team Director at First United Methodist Church of Crown Point) breaks down what true worship means—not as a mechanical routine, but as a personal, personal response to God’s goodness, faithfulness, and provision in our lives. From the Psalms to modern worship, our songs reflect a direct line of connection to God.
Whether through music, giving, or serving with our time, worship is our way of expressing gratitude for all He has done.

On September 11 at 6:00 PM, First Methodist is honored to host the City of Crown Point’s 9/11 Commemoration on the front lawn of the church.

We will gather as a community to remember the events of that day, honor the sacrifice and heroism of those who responded, and recognize those who continue to stand in the gap for our safety and security today.

We will be honored to have members of the Crown Point Police and Fire Departments with us as we take the opportunity to thank them for their continued commitment to our community.

Come join us as together we:

REMEMBER.
REFLECT.
RENEW.

Faith doesn't ask you to leave your brain at the door.
God isn't threatened, offended, or bothered by your questions, your doubts, or your search for truth. He made your mind, and He welcomes your curiosity.
As Pastor Mark highlights in this clip, faith isn't the absence of questions—it’s asking those questions as you journey. It’s being willing to keep walking forward with God even when you don't have every single answer wrapped up in a neat little bow.
Bring your whole, thinking self to Jesus and keep taking those steps of faith today. 🎧👇

There is nothing quite like gathering together as a family of faith.
From quiet moments of prayer and worshipping side-by-side to sweet conversations in the lobby and little ones learning and playing, today’s service was full of warmth, connection, and God’s grace.
Whether you were praising, praying, or simply catching up with an old friend, we are so grateful for every generation represented here today.
We’d love to welcome you next Sunday! Join us as we worship, grow, and walk together in faith.
