Maybe church feels intimidating.

Maybe it’s been a while.
Maybe you’re carrying things you don’t know what to do with.
Maybe you’re not sure where you stand with God.

That’s exactly why we’re starting Come Home.

For the next six weeks, we’re looking at stories of people who were broken, ashamed, wandering, and unsure — and the God who still went looking for them.

No pretending.
No perfect people required.
Just an open door and a real invitation.

Come Home begins this Sunday at South Lake Church of the Nazarene.

This could be the Sunday you come home.

Jesus didn’t call us to attend church and leave unchanged.

He called us to follow Him.

That means faith shows up at home, at work, in our conversations, in our forgiveness, in our choices, and in the quiet moments nobody else sees.

Church should shape your Sunday.

Jesus should shape your life.

What if your invitation is part of something God already started?

That friend.
That coworker.
That neighbor.
That family member who’s been on your heart.

Maybe God has been working in ways you can’t see yet, and your role isn’t to control the outcome — it’s simply to be faithful with the opportunity.

Somebody helped you take a step toward Jesus.

Now it may be your turn.

Nobody is supposed to be the end of the line.

Barnabas poured into Paul, but Paul wasn’t meant to just receive it and move on.

That’s how discipleship works.
We are poured into so we can pour into others.

Faith was never meant to stop with us.

What if “back to normal” isn’t actually the goal?

This week reminded us of something we should have never forgotten: we need each other.

Neighbors showed up. Strangers helped. People shared what they had. And in the middle of the mess, we saw a glimpse of what Jesus meant when He said to love your neighbor.

Maybe the storm shouldn’t just be something we recover from.

Maybe it should change the way we live.
