“I might be the only Jew in my class, my grade, my entire school.”I might be the only Jew in my class, my grade, my entire school. But every week I’m one of thousands learning Torah.” A boy said that in a graduation video this spring, at the end of a year spent studying his people’s story through “Israel Quest.”

He’s one of 25,000 kids in 500 CKids Chabad Hebrew schools who wrapped up the year this spring. The point of the curriculum was to change how a kid sees himself, and to send him home carrying it. 3,000 years later, and young Jews are being forged into strong leaders of the future generation.

NEXT GENERATION: As the school year winds down, thousands of CKids Hebrew School students across the country are graduating. Each week they gather to learn Torah, mitzvot, and the foundations of Jewish life, building Jewish pride one lesson at a time.

This past week, over 75 students graduated from New York Hebrew School, run by Rabbi Mendy and Gillie Shanowitz, who came together for a morning of celebration and connection. Because a child who grows up proud of who they are becomes an adult invested in the Jewish future.

Conversations With My Rabbi launched Tuesday at Chabad of Bondi, the synagogue Rabbi Eli Schlanger led for 18 years. The book brings his teachings to a new audience, drawn from a year of conversations Nikki Goldstein recorded with him after he prayed at her hospital bedside in 2022. Schlanger was one of 15 people killed at last Chanukah’s celebration in Bondi, and his father-in-law completed the book’s final chapter in his memory.

It is out now from Harper Collins Publisher, and available in Australia, US, and UK.

To purchase, visit https://a.co/d/03hRpxeD, the book is also in-stock in many Barnes & Nobles bookstores.

Somewhere in Utah, Nebraska, Hawaii, or La Paz, Mexico, a Chabad family is about to have a very different Shavuot. Eighty rabbinical students are flying out this week to Shluchim and their families in some of the most far-flung Jewish communities on the map, places where pulling together a minyan is never guaranteed and kosher cheese doesn’t just appear before a dairy holiday. The young rabbis are coming with stuffed suitcases, zero agenda, and enough energy to stay up all night learning and still be on the floor with the kids by morning.

For families who do almost everything alone, homeschooling, sourcing kosher food, celebrating Yom Tov with whoever happens to show up, a houseful of young rabbis showing up with cheesecake and board games is a boost of energy for the entire family.

Every Jew stood at Mount Sinai as one people to receive the Torah. Over 3,000 years later, let’s recommit ourselves to His blueprint for the world, and add in our Torah and mitzvot.

Chag Sameach to you and your family!
