🎉 Congratulations to Senior Alyson Hebert!

Alyson was awarded 4th Place in the State Catholic Youth Leadership Finals, selected from more than 200 competitors across Louisiana.

The Catholic Youth Leadership Award, established in 1959 by the Louisiana State Council of the Knights of Columbus, recognizes high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership in their churches, schools, and communities.

We are so proud of Alyson and this incredible achievement! ❤️💙

A few weeks ago, our brother knights took part in a Quarterly Communion Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church. This is a tradition within the Knights of Columbus where brother knights, Ladies Auxiliary members, and their families share in the sacrifice of the Mass. It’s a way to strengthen our faith and fellowship as a council. Knights participated in the Mass serving as lectors, ushers, gift bearers, and Eucharistic ministers.

Thank you Fr. Miley and St. Michael Church for welcoming our council and providing so much support throughout the years! We are proud to serve St. Michael Church and her community through charity, unity, and fraternity!✝️

St. Pius hosted a banquet recognizing the Diocese of Lafayette Catholic Youth Leadership Awards winners. These outstanding seniors were presented a plaque for their achievements. Receiving their plaque from David Landry, area representative for the Knights of Columbus, was Alyson Hebert of Notre Dame High School. She was the winner of Sacre' Coeur KC Council 5499 of Crowley. Pictured with Hebert and Landry are her parents, Crystal and Allen Hebert of Roberts Cove. Absent was our senior boy recepient, Luke Ronkartz, who attends John Paul the Great Academy in Lafayette. He is the son of Danielle and Garrett Ronkartz of Roberts Cove.

Representing Sacre' Coeur KC council 5499 are the chairpersons for the CYLA award pictured with Hebert. They are Bernadette Cormier and Amanda Cormier, and Eulalie Griffin absent from the banquet. Hebert plans to attend LSUE in the fall majoring in Elementary Education. Ronkartz who was unable to attend plans to enroll at SLCC and major in residential and/or commercial HVAC.
