Fort Victory Baptist Church was started in the summer of 1985 as a mission of First Baptist Church, of Benbrook, Texas and Connell Baptist Church, of Fort Worth Texas. The founding missions pastor was Michael Britt (1985-93) It was originally began as Mustang Creek Baptist Chapel then changed to Victory Baptist Chapel, then organized as Victory Baptist Church when the second missions pastor,Steve
Bareis,(1993-1996) was called to succeed Pastor Britt. Pastor Steve Bareis took the congregation from approximately 30 in attendance to approximately 55 in attendance. Dennis Cornelison, (1996-2000) became the next pastor. Keith Anderson was the next pastor from 2000-2015. During pastor Andersons' pastorate he became ill with bladder cancer and his wife simultaneously with stage 3 lung cancer. The little church suffered as they tried to remain faithful but declined over the Latter years of bro. Keith pastorate. upon his retirement 8 were in attendance yet held on faithful to the vision of the early founding members.. upon his retirement bro. Bill Keisling was called to be the next and is the current pastor. In the past 5 years we have been blessed to see over 200 people make a profession of faith in Christ as Savior and over 100 of them have been Baptized. the church is currently averaging in the 30s on most Sunday mornings and God is blessing. We have moved into the new auditorium in the white building shown in the picture that was acquired under pastor Keith Andirons tenure as pastor. We accomplished this completely on a debt free basis. We are exited as the Chisolm Trail Tollway has 3 entrances/exits literally within 2 minutes or less of our location and is currently bringing rapid growth both in housing and industry to our area. Would you kindly pray God continue to bless with souls being saved, baptized and lives being changed for the glory of God. We extend a warm welcome to all who visit and invite you to come and see what God is doing at Fort Victory Baptist Church! .
