"As we reflect on the power of our testimonies, it's natural for some of us to feel unworthy to share our stories. We may think, 'What do I have to offer? My past is full of failures and mistakes.' However, it is essential to remember that our worthiness is not based on our past but on the grace of God through Jesus Christ.
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we find this beautiful truth: 'Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.' When we accept Christ, we become new creations — our past does not define us. It's His grace that empowers us to share our journey, not our imperfections.
Consider the Apostle Paul again. He described himself as the 'chief of sinners' (1 Timothy 1:15), yet God chose him to be a powerful vessel for His message. It's often the brokenness within us that draws others to God’s healing. Our imperfect stories can resonate with others who feel the weight of shame or unworthiness, offering them hope that they can also experience redemption.
Jesus reached out to those society deemed unworthy: the Samaritan woman at the well, the tax collectors, and even the criminals on the cross. He transformed their lives and used them to spread His message of love and grace. Similarly, we must not allow feelings of unworthiness to silence our voices.
When we share our testimonies, we do not share them for our glory but to magnify God's grace. Each time we testify, we highlight His goodness and power, demonstrating that He loves us, flaws and all. Remember, it’s not about being perfect; it’s about being honest and transparent.
Let us step forward in faith, embracing our stories and understanding that sharing them is an act of obedience to what God has done in our lives. Your voice matters, and you can provide hope and encouragement to those who feel unworthy, just like you once did.
