"MAGNiFiED" VBS & CHILDREN'S DAY
We had a wonderful VBS and Children's Day last weekend! Kid's learned about how God sees us, cares for us, forgives us, and keeps His promises. Everyone was able to learn about the Good News of Jesus Christ! Special thanks to Mr. B's Bouncers and Party Rentals for providing the bouncy house and waterslide on Saturday. The kid's loved it and had a great time!

WORKING TOGETHER - "THE METHOD"
As Paul closes his letter to the Colossians, he does something very important. Before ending with a final greeting, he mentions ordinary believers by name. These names may seem like small details, but they reveal a powerful truth: the gospel advances through believers working together. In the close of this letter, we see pastors, encouragers, servants, prayer warriors, missionaries, former failures, hosts, and faithful friends all united in the mission through the method. The church flourishes when God’s people work together for the gospel.

DEVOTED, DEPENDENT, DISCIPLINED
The Christian life is not passive — it is to be active, intentional, and fully relying on Christ. As Paul begins to bring his Colossian letter to a close, he turns to practical exhortation. Having already called believers to seek the things above (Col. 3:1–4) and to put on the new self (Col. 3:10), Paul now directs attention to how that transformed life expresses itself outwardly.

MOTHER'S DAY 2026
Someone once pointed out that of the sixty-nine kings of France only three were truly loved by their subjects and those three were the only ones reared by their own mothers as opposed to tutors and guardians. What Napoleon said may just be true: “The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.” It is on this Mother’s Day that we reflect on those hands that more diligently rocked our cradle more than any other.

THE NEW SELF BRINGS NEW RELATIONSHIPS
Paul brings the gospel once again out of the realm of doctrine and into the everyday realities of life—our homes, our workplaces, and our relationships. Having just called believers to “put on the new self,” Paul now shows what that new life looks like in the closest and most practical settings. The Christian faith is not merely theological—it is relational. The gospel transforms how we live with one another.
