My heart is broken over the body of Christ. Today as it lay dismembered on the ground, I wonder how long it will take for the bride to get it together!!! Step outside those walls of separation that you call the church and understand YOU ARE THE CHURCH! The bridegroom is not coming back for wood and mortar. He is coming back for us! All who are ready!
Have you been to a wedding and seen how beautifully prepared the bride is for her suitor? As she steps forward you see that she has spent time making sure everything was perfect. She is the bride...it is her day. She did everything she could to present herself as a lovely gift to the one she loves. Have you seen the look on a bridegroom's face when the love of his life steps into the isle....what a perfect example of what it will be like when Jesus comes back for us. Jesus is coming back for his bride, and his grace is buying time with the Father while his bride prepares herself.
Let's think on that... what would the bride look like today if she was rounding the corner. I do not even really want to imagine her stepping out, missing an arm, leg, ear, and nose because she cut them off in spite, scratching herself in anguish, arguing back and forth with herself like a mad woman, her head swollen with pride and false authority, smelling of the stench of hate and unforgiveness, and if that was not bad enough, she is pointing the finger at the very end of her one arm at EVERYONE she passes by, scowling and condemning them for their stench and missing limbs. Is that what the bride looks like... is that what we look like?
I ask because I am broken hearted for the bride of Christ. I am hurt by people who will not commune with me because I do not step into the same man-made walls they sit behind. I am hurt by those who look down their nose at the differences between us. Shattered by those who walk past the broken and whisper as if they are less than the dogs at the rich man's table. Have we forgotten the one who came and paid the price for us ALL???
Our bridegroom Jesus Christ is praying for us... he is lifting us up daily in hopes that we will be reminded of when he picked the woman from the dirt. A woman who gazed down at the stones once aimed at her was now looking up into the eyes of the man who forgave her. He wants you to feel the compassion he felt as he reached out and touched the untouchable and a l***r was now clean. A man who longed to be touched, to feel loved, was now touched by the Son of God. He is asking if you remeber how he made blind eyes to see... not because he thinks you do not remember, but because he is begging you to open your eyes.
We must get ready, we must appreciate the love of Jesus in our brothers and sisters and come together in unity. One of the best ways to do that is to appreciate the love our Father has for all of us. He is coming back for those who are ready.. is there oil in your lamp, are your wicks trimmed?
It is my passion to help draw the dismembered body of Christ together. I want to help others understand how important it is for us to stop bickering and backbiting over religion, lay down our weapons against each other, forgive one another, put on the whole armor of God and step onto the battlefield together to build the body of Christ...that we may stand WHOLE and beautiful, a sweet smelling offering, glowing with love and adoration for the one who is coming for us. PEOPLE GET READY!
