Crosby United Methodist Church Sunday: 10:00am Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary; 9:00 am Small Group/Sunday School In 1879, the church became a part of the Cedar Bayou Curcuit. In 1909, C.

In 1844 the Lynchburg Curcuit was formed and a church in Crosby was started by various Protestant denominations, including the Methodist Episcopal Church. Sometime around 1897 a group meeting in the Crosby schoolhouse on Kernohan Street became the Union Church. It too held services for all Protestant faiths. In 1900, the Union Church was outgrowing its facilities. A. Gustafson donated land for the

church's expansion. In 1911, a white frame church was built as the home of the Union Church congregation. In 1919, the Methodist Conference paid off the building debt to Mr. Gustafson and the Union Church became the Crosby Methodist Episcopal Church. The church joined the Texas Annual Conference in January 1931, along with Highlands Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1954, Mr. Elton C. Runneburg donated land and the congregation entered into a building program. In 1956, the congregation moved into its new church at its current day location.

Ladies, it’s time to take a breath, pause, and step into a morning designed to refresh your spirit and reignite your calling! Crosby United Methodist Women is thrilled to host our very first Women’s Conference: Faith & Purpose: Empowered to Shine!

This morning is all about deepening our discipleship and building true sisterhood & fellowship with women in our community. Together, we will dive into two powerful pillars:

🌸 Leading with Grace — Walking with confidence and love in every season of life.

As a new school year approaches, we want to surround our students and families with prayer, love, and support!

Join us on Sunday, August 2nd at 10:00 AM for our annual Blessing of the Backpacks. Kids of all ages are invited to bring their school backpacks to worship. Right at the beginning of the service during our Children’s Moment, we will pray over our students, teachers, and their backpacks as they step into this exciting new year!
