Good Morning. Our text for this coming Sunday is Romans 3:9-20, "The Condition of Mankind?" What is the condition of mankind, according to the Bible? Does it apply to all men, or just some? How do we know this and what is the result?

For Sunday School, we will cover the 2nd half of Chapter 21--"Christian Liberty and the Liberty of Conscience"

See you Sunday!

Good Afternoon. This Coming Sunday our text will be Romans 3:1-8 The Privileges of the faith. What is the advantages of Christian traditions and family? How has Evangelicalism been unfaithful in recent years? Does this give a valid excuse to avoid the Church or the Gospel? Whom are we to look?

Announcements:

Call to Worship: The Chalcedon Creed We, then, following the holy fathers, all with one consent teach men to confess one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the same perfect in Godhead and also perfect in manhood; truly God and truly man, of a rational soul and body; co-essential with the Father according to the Godhead, and con-substantial with us according to the manhood; in all things like unto us, without sin; begotten before all ages of the Father according to the Godhead, and in these latter days, for us and for our salvation, born of the Virgin Mary, the mother of God, according to the manhood; one and the same Christ, Son, Lord, Only-begotten, to be acknowledged in two natures, without confusion, without change, without division, without separation; the distinction of natures being by no means taken away by the union, but rather the property of each nature being preserved, and concurring in one person and one subsistence, not parted or divided into two persons, but one and the same Son, and only begotten, God the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ; as the prophets from the beginning have declared concerning Him, and the Lord Jesus Christ Himself has taught us, and the creed of the holy fathers has handed down to us.

Covenant Renewal: Confession and Communion

Dear Father, we live in a cynical age among-st people who will not hope in your word nor your works of providence in the world. As Christians, we confess that we often look to our own miseries and trust the cynicism of the experts and political pundits rather than you, in whose eternal covenant we have perfect hope and purpose in this life. Father, we confess the sin of unbelief and the sin of laziness that we do not train our minds to be renewed by your word that our hearts may be at peace. Help us to believe you and trust you as we obey your word in all of it's promises and precepts. Thank you for the knowledge that our Savior, who lived and died to redeem us is also the King who is restoring all of the cosmos. You are faithful. Help our unbelief.

*My Hope Is in the Lord (p 213)

Confession of Sin:
Father, You alone are Holy and Righteous. We are those who have squandered your gifts. We have the best privileges of sitting under the preaching of your word, access to the truth and the guiding of the Holy Spirit. How ungrateful we often are. How vague are our confessions of sin. How many excuses we make and how we avoid your correct. How little we go to you in prayer. We act as though we don't need your strength because we don't value your glory. Father, forgive us and make our confessions sincere and specific. Help us understand the ongoing need for Sanctification. Help us see ourselves as Kingdom people who have been given specific purposes and a place in life. Help us love you and your law, looking to your Son, King Jesus, in and through whose life, death and resurrection we live.

Call to Worship: Apostles Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
