I had the honor recently of conducting a memorial service for a man who was a true patriot—a man who served and defended our nation.

Standing there was incredibly humbling. I found myself thinking about the freedoms and way of life that generations before us sacrificed so much to preserve.

We must never take America for granted. We must continue to stand for the freedoms that define our nation, including the freedom of Judeo Christian religion, while guarding against any foreign religious or political ideology that would seek to replace our constitutional freedoms and system of law.

May we honor those who defended this nation by faithfully preserving those freedoms for the generations who come after us.

God bless those who served, and God bless America.

Lorie and I are so grateful for all the wonderful anniversary wishes! After 45 years together, we feel incredibly blessed—not only to have each other, our children two grand boys, and also to have so many wonderful people in our lives who have loved, encouraged, and walked alongside us in the thick or thin of it all. Thank you for making our day and life so very special. We love and appreciate you all!

As of tomorrow morning Sep.19th it will have been 45 years ago, we were just a very young couple, deeply in love, standing together with a lifetime ahead of us.

Today, 45 years later, our love for each other has never wavered. Through every season—the victories, the challenges, the laughter, the tears, and all the unexpected turns of life—God has been faithful, and we have walked through it all together.

Through all the adventures and traveling the world. All my crazy stunts, feats, accomplishments and failure’s my nurse (she actually is) my companion and best friend has always been right in the middle of it with me.

I thank God every day for the woman He gave me to share this life with. I’m thankful for the three wonderful children we raised, our 2 beautiful grandboys who have filled our lives with so much joy, and the incredible church family God has allowed us to love and serve together.

Looking back, I realize that 45 years of marriage isn’t about having a perfect life. It’s about choosing each other again and again, keeping God at the center, and holding on to one another through every season.

Lorie, I loved you then, I love you now, “always and forever”, and after 45 years, I’d still choose you all over again.

Happy 45th Anniversary to the love of my life.

God has always been so very good to us. And we are truly thankful!!!!!

Today, we remember 9/11.

We grieve the lives lost and honor the true American spirit and courage of those who ran toward danger.

Hatred lit that fire, but love, courage, and sacrifice told another story. Jesus is Lord of all in our lands and our lives as we live and breathe.

Psalm 46 says, “God is our refuge and strength.”

We condemn the hatred and  ideology those who perpetrated this horrific act. Hatred only destroys. We ask God to root the hatred out of our nation, and we ask the Lord God Almighty to purify our own hearts.

Today, let’s carry compassion, honor, and hope into a world that so desperately needs Jesus.

We pray Gods grace and continued strength on all the family’s that were changed forever because of this act.

Let’s be the light that shines into the darkness with the love of Christ.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
