In reading early today and watching what is happening in our world Ect. I read this…..

This is not doom-and-gloom time.
This is Jesus time.
This is harvest time.

When darkness increases, the light of Christ does not retreat.
Paul Cole

Well apparently there is someone sending text to people asking for money and gift cards signing it Pastor Keenan Smith. If you know me that’s not how I sign things🤦‍♂️. So it’s not me. I guess we can respond and invite them to church!😀

Was truly a great man, the real deal, kind, giving, caring. Carlos and Gina would both load up a limo of kids from other neighborhoods and bring them to our programs. He would set on the floor with them and watch the program. Can you imagine as a child Chuck Norris limo with him picking you up and bringing you to a Team Impact crusade. You are already greatly missed but I will see you again my friend! Celebrate with Jesus and I’ll see ya soon!

Devotion day 6
Cycles Can Stop With Us

Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

As a family, you can always choose a new way.

Every family has patterns—good and bad. But in Christ, old cycles can stop and new stories can begin. We don’t have to repeat what hurt us in the past.

With God’s help, we can make a new choice to choose peace, kindness, faith, and love.

• What is one good and healthy pattern we can start in our home?

• How can we support each other better?

Pray something like this -- “Lord, help our family serve You and walk in Your ways. Start something new in each of us. Amen.”

Action Step:

Create one simple family rule this week that builds peace and wholeness in our hearts.

Devotion day 5
God Can Restore What Feels like it’s Broken

Joel 2:25 So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.

God specializes in restoration, what the adversary tries to take away.

Some things feel too damaged to fix—but God is an expert restorer. We heard that He doesn’t just heal people; He heals families and environments.

Nothing in your home (where the heart is) is beyond God’s reach.

Talk About It:

• What’s something we want God to restore in our life or our family?

• How can we trust Him more?

Pray something like this -- “God, restore what’s been broken in our family. We trust You. Amen.”

Action Step: Write one family prayer request and place it somewhere visible for everyone to see and pray over.

Devotion day 4

Forgiveness Sets Us Free

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Forgiveness always frees families.

Let’s have a discussion and share thoughts.
We learned that forgiveness isn’t pretending nothing happened—it’s choosing not to stay chained to bitterness. Families that forgive instantly stay healthy longer.

Jesus forgave us first. When we forgive, we make room for peace in our home.

Talk About It:

• Why is forgiveness sometimes hard?

• How does it change the atmosphere when someone says, “I’m sorry”?

Pray something like this -- “Lord, help us forgive like You forgive us. Bring peace to our home. Amen.”

Action Step:

If there’s tension, pause and pray together before talking it through.

Devotion day 3

Healing Begins in Honest Hearts

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

We must understand that God heals what we bring to Him. So Bring Him everything you carry.

We learned that Jesus doesn’t ask us to hide pain—He asks us to bring it. God heals broken hearts gently and carefully and always. Families grow stronger when we tell the truth in love, always, about how we feel instead of pretending everything is fine.

However, we all have to be willing to receive it and accept the fact that we all can change and be better.

Honesty opens the door for healing. Accepting God's healing in our circumstances allows us to become more like Him.

So let’s talk About It:

• What’s something that’s been hard for you to deal with lately?

• How can we support each other better in whatever we need?

Pray a prayer, something like this, in your own words.

“Jesus, heal our hearts and help us be honest with You and each other. Amen.”

Action Step:
Check in with one another before bed — ask, “How are you doing and how is your heart today?”

Devotion day 2

Putting God First Always

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

One thing we can learn very quickly is that when God comes first, everything else finds its place.

One week, we talked about honoring God first. That doesn’t just happen at church — it happens in homes. When families pray together, forgive quickly, and make room for God daily, peace in every area of your life grows.

Here's something I think we get confused about sometimes: putting God first isn’t about perfection — it’s about setting the proper priority.

So today talk About It:

➢ What does it look like for our family or in individual lives to put God first?
➢ Can you identify some areas where God hasn’t been the main priority (you must be gut-level honest to answer this one)
➢ What’s one habit we each could grow?
➢ What Changes could you begin to make that would make a difference in you and others?
Pray a prayer something like this in your own words;

“God, we choose You first in our home/life/heart. Help us follow You more every day. Amen.”

Action Step:
Pick a regular time this week to pray together as a family. Oh, and DO IT!
