Patrick Henry; he famously said, “I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!” But Henry also declared this, “It cannot be emphasized too often or too strongly that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

In the northeast corner of South Africa sits Kruger National Park — thousands of square miles of wild country, filled with elephants, lions, rhinos, and the raw power of God's creation.

In the 80's, Kruger had done such a great job of restoring the at-risk elephant population, they had too many. So, conservationists moved dozens of younger elephants to Pilanesberg National Park. It looked like a good solution.

A decade later, rangers began finding dead rhinos. At first, they suspected poachers. But the rhino horns were still there. These animals had not been hunted. They had been violently attacked. Then they began to find other animals of many species with the same result. Killed and pulverized.

Game cameras finally revealed the shocking truth. Young male elephants — adolescent bulls — were roaming the park in violent gangs, attacking and killing vulnerable animals.

Then the biologists noticed something deeper. These young males were coming into musth — a season when a male elephant’s testosterone can surge, his aggression rises, and his strength begins to outrun his maturity.

They were strong, but they were untaught. They had not been mentored into adult life.

Then the rangers brought in a few older bull elephants from Kruger. Within weeks, the violence stopped.

What changed? The young males needed fathers. True of that story - and true of our world today.

Our young men also need what they needed: mature masculinity in front of them.

They needed strength that had been disciplined. They needed presence. They needed order. They needed an older male to show them what power was for. They needed to be fathered.

That is Father’s Day. Raising up the next generation into their manhood. With order, consecration, and the love of Christ.

See you tomorrow at Church

I just found out a dear friend and matriarch of The Church stepped into heaven the other day, LINDA WALKER was part of the fabric of Crosby Church for many years and Lorie and I‘s life. She was a prayer warrior and continued to pray over Lorie and I and Crosby Church on a daily basis. She sent me this video not long ago as she would send text messages full of love and encouragement often. My dearest sister you are already greatly missed but we also rejoice at your home come with your Lord. Or prayer go out to all of her family and those who feel her loss. We will see ya soon!

Today is runoff election day in our community — and every vote matters.

In one of our recent local elections, less than 6% of eligible voters showed up to vote. Think about that for a moment. A very small percentage of people ended up making decisions that affect all of us.

If good people stay silent and stay home, we should not be surprised when the wrong people end up in positions of

Vote with biblical truths on your hearts, your voice matters. Your vote matters. Local elections shape our schools, our roads, our safety, our taxes, and the future of our community.

So today, take a few minutes and go vote. Encourage your family and friends to vote too.

Let’s be a people who pray for our community, care about our community, and participate in our community.

This Memorial Day I/we Honor those who gave….. as I watched the color guard with such grace fold the flag and I listened to the sound of taps being played, my mind is over whelmed by gratitude, because with out the Brave we have NO land of the free!

So THANK YOU to all that sacrifice and all that serve and have served! We need the Brave in this nation the Brave that proclaim “ONE NATION UNDER GOD” and the Brave that protect it. Never for get the sacrifice for freedom! Men and women bled for our freedom and Jesus bled for our salvation that sets us free….
