Eucharistic Miracle
Gorkum-El Escorial Netherlands

The miracle took place in 1572 at Gorkum, Holland some protestant mercenaries (soldiers who are hired and serve in a foreign army) invaded the city and raided and looted the local Catholic Church. They knocked the tabernacle down with an iron bar and took the monstrance containing a consecrated Host. They threw the Host on the ground and trampled it with a spiked boot, which pierced the Host into three places. Suddenly, Blood began to seep from three wound holes.
One of them saw the Blood form in three holes and he was shocked and repented for his actions. He shared the news to Canon Jean van der Delft who managed to save the Host.

Eucharistic Miracle
Turin Italy (2)

This Miracle happened in Turin, Italy. On May 1640, Count d’ Harcourt’s soldiers invaded the town and they entered the Santa Maria del Monte’s church. A group of Capuchin friars allowed the men, women, young and old, civilians, and troops stood around the altar for their protection, but the soldiers killed all of them and the friars’ hearts were broken. The refugees hid some of their household items and furniture for safekeeping but the soldiers destroyed all of it, including the sacred vessels, vestments and the church.
What happened inside the church itself was horrible, and they committed many brutal acts. A French soldier climbed onto the altar and forced open the tabernacle to get the ciborium and the Hosts. He was planning to destroy them, but a miracle happened! How? A flame blazed out of the ciborium directly to the Frenchman and burned his face and uniform. He threw himself to the floor screaming and begging for God’s forgiveness. Suddenly, the church was filled with dense smoke. All the violence and vandalism ceased.

Eucharistic Miracle
Turin Italy

This Eucharistic Miracle occurred in 1453 in Turin, Italy. The army of Rene D’Angio met the army of Duke Ludwig of Savoy, and the soldiers raided the town and looted peoples’ homes. Some soldiers broke into the church and one of them forced open the tabernacle’s small door and stole the monstrance with the consecrated Host. He wrapped them in the bag and left for Turin with a mule.
A soldier with a mule arrived in Turin in the main square near St Sylvester’s Church (Now Holy Spirit Church but earlier Church of Corpus Domini). His mule stumbled and fell, and suddenly the bag also fell and opened in front of other people. The monstrance with the Consecrated Host went up into the air above all the homes. All of the people were shocked and Fr Bartholomew Coccolo was with them and rushed to inform the Bishop Ludwig
The Bishop, with a group of people and clergy, went to the plaza and saw the monstrance with the Host still up in the air and he knelt down in adoration and prayed saying “Stay with us Lord”.
The consecrated Host came out of the monstrance and the monstrance fell onto the ground. The Host was shining like a sun. The Bishop held up the chalice and the Host went down slowly into the chalice.
People in Turin became devoted to the miracle and the city built a chapel where the miracle’s spot was. Later the chapel was replaced by the church named Corpus Domini. The display was shown in celebrations of various anniversaries in 1653, 1703, 1853 and 1803.
In 1928, Pope Pius XI and the Holy See ordered that the miracle Host be consumed in order not to oblige God to keep the Eucharist forever.

I am wondering what happened to the soldier who took the Host? Did he repent? Or afraid and ran away or so?
Another story in Turin, Italy next week
See you all.

Eucharistic Miracle
Rosano Italy

Bishop Luciano Giovanntti wrote a letter explaining the Eucharistic miracle in Rosano, Italy. On Easter Sunday, April 4, 1948, a group of people praying noticed a tear drop that ran down from the eye of a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The statue was life-size and was donated by a devout person during WWII. It featured Christ’s face with an expression that invites all to prayer, and Christ’s Heart was in the center of His chest with the crown of thorns. A few months later in June, some nuns and others witnessed blood flowing from the statue again, and it continued from 1948 to 1950.
Mother IIldegarde Cabitza, the head nun of the community, also witnessed it, and they decided to move the statue to a secret room at the monastery archives. This is also where all the finger towels and purificators that were soaked with the Blood from the statue were kept.
Later the Bishop of the diocese of Arezzo learned about it, and the Holy Office sent Fr Luigi Romoli to interview the nuns. He disagreed with the nuns about keeping the statue in a secret room.
On November 14, 1950, Holy Office ordered the statue out of the secret room and later in 1952 it was sent back to Rosano. The community of nuns in Rosano experienced the events with joy and great devotion.
That’s all for now.

Eucharistic Miracle
Rome, Italy

This miracle occurred in Rome, Italy in 595. A faithful woman made the bread to be used at Mass and gave it to her church for the Consecration. Pope St Gregory the Great was celebrating the Mass, and while he was distributing Holy Communion, the faithful woman was standing in line along with other people and she heard the Pope saying “Body of Christ”. She laughed aloud, and the Pope stopped her and asked her to explain her behavior. She explained that she could not believe that the bread that she had made, had truly become the Body and Blood of Christ.

Pope St Gregory refused to give her Communion and he prayed and begged God to help her to understand the truth about the Consecration and the bread and wine becoming the Body and Blood of Christ. After he finished his prayers, he saw the consecrated Host become Flesh and Blood. The woman repented and knelt on the ground crying.

Currently the miracle is preserved in a relic at the Benedictine monastery in Andechs, Germany. You can visit and see the miracle. I don’t know why they preserved it in Germany instead of Rome. That is a great miracle story!
