✨ Sunday Recap ✨

What a powerful and anointed service we experienced Sunday! From the very first note of worship, the presence of God was evident in our midst. Hearts were encouraged, lives were touched, and the atmosphere was filled with praise as we lifted up the name of Jesus.

Not only was the worship truly wonderful, the Word was timely, powerful, and Spirit-filled, challenging us to grow in our faith and draw closer to the Lord!! Will we heed to the call of God?! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

We are so thankful for everyone who joined us Sunday! May the message continue to resonate in our hearts throughout the week! 🩵💚

“Surely the Lord is in this place.” What a blessing to gather together as the family of God!

Nettie Mae Cooley, age 87, of Crestview, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 7, 1938, Mae lived a life rooted in faith, family and love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend whose greatest joy came from caring for those she loved. A faithful homemaker, she made a house into a home and filled it with laughter, warmth and good memories that her family will cherish forever.

Mae loved shopping, dinners with family, beach trips and camping in the Smoky Mountains with her family. She especially treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved Jesus with all her heart and faithfully attended church with her Calvary United Church family for many years.

Anyone who knew Mae knew she had a sassy spirit and a heart full of love. She could make people laugh, speak her mind when needed and made those around her feel cared for. Her strength, kindness and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Roy (David) and Carla Cooley; her granddaughters, Brooke Ayscue (Jason) and Brittany Slick (Loren); her grandchildren, Zachary Slick (Maria), Jackson Ayscue (Charlie), Brenna-Grace Ayscue, Bela Ayscue, Jefferson Ayscue, Annabelle Slick, Zoe Slick, Willow Slick and Garrison Slick; her great-grandchildren, Daniel-Ezra Cornell, Milo Calvin Martinez, Augustus Ayscue and Finnegan Ayscue; her sister, Laverne Whitfield; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha and Maddie Mae McCoy; her sisters, Lavelle Land and Merle Faulk; her beloved husband, Charles Cooley, Sr.; and her sons, Charles Cooley Jr. and Calvin Cooley.

While her family mourns her passing, they rejoice in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with her loved ones in Heaven. The love she gave, the memories she made, and the legacy she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m. from The Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Grady O'Neal officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. We are grateful for their sacrifice and pray for the families who carry their memory each day. 🙏

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
— John 15:13

May we never forget the cost of freedom, and may we always give thanks to God for His faithfulness and grace. 🇺🇸♥️🤍🩵
