Emma Jean Hannah, 84, of Crestview, passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2026. She was born April 20, 1941, in Mobile, Alabama, to Hurtis and Nora Elizabeth Steele Geoghagan.

Jean grew up in Pensacola, Florida, and attended Pensacola High School. Throughout her life, she was known for her strong work ethic and determination, working at G C Murphy’s Company five and dime, Kel Tec, Stokley Van-Camp Inc., Washington Bulb Company, Cascade Bulb Company, fabric outlet store in Pensacola, and the Chicken Factory in Defuniak Springs where she was never afraid of hard work. She often told her children never to quit a job unless you already had another lined up.

Jean loved her pretty things, traveling, word searches, shopping, and exploring family ancestry. Her greatest love was her family and the military life she shared with her husband and her family. She was deeply devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was especially proud of the legacy she helped build. Jean faithfully attended First Pentecostal Church of Crestview for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Retired Chief Petty Officer Hank Hannah; her parents, Hurtis and Nora Elizabeth Steele Geoghagan; her brothers Edward Geoghagan, Edwin Geoghagan, Wesley Geoghagan, and Specialist 4 Arnold Geoghagan; and her sisters Annette Stevenson and Mary Penton.

She is survived by her sister Anniejo Majewicz of Crestview Florida; her brothers Andy and Pat Geoghagan of Pensacola, Florida; and William and Cynthia Geoghagan of Alvin, Texas.

Children: Deborah Underfinger (Ed), Eddie Hannah (Lana), Denise Lopez (Bob), Wally Hannah (Kaye), Scott Hannah (Michelle), Pamela Rees (Mark), and Susan Geoghagan.

Grandchildren: Stacy Kenney (Brandon), Greg Hannah (Nicole), Dustin Hannah (Shannon), Kameren Apelskog, Gunnery Sergeant Zachary Hannah (Michelle), Tyeler Apelskog, Andrew Hannah (Davannah), Sydnee Meyers, LeighAnn Meyers, Tawanaca Chambers, Katelyn Hannah, Bentley Hannah, and Brantley Hannah.

Great-grandchildren: William Hannah, Aiden Hannah, Naomi Hannah, Drew Hannah, Wynonna Hannah, Waylon Hannah, Hendon Hannah, and Sierra Kenney, Caroline Reeves.

Jean will be remembered for her love of family, her hardworking nature, her ability to keep things together with wisdom and grace, and her willingness to help anyone who needed her. She was loved by all who knew her and formed many meaningful friendships, including those at Crescent Park Village, where Meg and the staff held a special place in her heart.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, January 22, at The First Pentecostal Church with Pastors Scott Hannah and Michelle Hannah officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be on Monday, January 26, at 11:00AM, at Barrancas National Cemetery.
