HURRICANE ISAIAS DISASTER RELIEF UPDATE

Hub City family,

First, we want to say how thankful we are to know that everyone in our church family is safe following the storm!

We know that many of us are still dealing with the aftermath of the storm, whether that's cleaning up debris, repairing damage, or waiting for power to be restored. We're continuing to pray for you all as our community works toward recovery. If we can help you in some way, please let us know!

That said, one of the wonderful things about being a Southern Baptist church is that a portion of our giving each week goes toward supporting ministries like Send Relief, which help make it possible for trained volunteers to respond when disasters strike.

Whether that's right here in Crestview or somewhere on the other side of the country, we're able to partner with thousands of other churches to send helping hands and the hope of the gospel to communities in need. And now, we're getting to see some of that ministry happening right here in our own backyard!

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief teams are on the ground in our area, offering FREE assistance to those affected by the storm!

We've received word that a Disaster Relief team is staging at Live Oak Baptist Church here in Crestview and began taking requests for assistance this morning (October 13).

📍 Live Oak Baptist Church
4565 Live Oak Church Road
Crestview, FL 32539

If you or someone you know needs help with fallen trees, roof damage, damaged fencing, or other storm-related cleanup, you can visit Live Oak Baptist Church to request assistance.

If you're unable to visit in person, there's another option!
Through Send Relief, you can submit a request for assistance online and have someone follow up with you about your needs.

➡️ Request assistance, learn more, or find ways to serve: https://www.sendrelief.org/project/hurricane-isaias-response/

That same website also provides opportunities to give financially toward disaster relief efforts or learn how to get involved as a volunteer.

We're so thankful for these brothers and sisters in Christ who are giving their time and energy to serve communities like ours. What a wonderful reminder that our partnership in the gospel extends far beyond the walls of our own church, and that even through our ordinary, faithful giving, we're able to participate in extraordinary opportunities to love and serve others in Jesus' name.

Please help us spread the word!

If you know someone in our community who needs assistance, please pass this information along. And as we continue recovering from the storm, let's be intentional about checking on our neighbors, helping where we can, and looking for opportunities to demonstrate the love of Christ in tangible ways!
