The stupa road will be closed to vehicular traffic tomorrow Wednesday the 21st of August for the Forest Offering Concert. This event will take place in the afternoon until 8 PM. Please see the post below about this event.

Hello Everyone! Here's an update on the timing of the closure of the Stupa Road: it will be closed on Wednesday, August 21st, from noon to about 8 pm, from the water tanks up to the Stupa, for the Forest Offering Concert.
If you are planning to come to the Concert, please park at Shumei by 2:30 pm and take one of the shuttles, as parking will be very limited near the trailhead. Or you can park in the Tranquil Way area and walk up.
Tickets will be available at the entrance to the Concert. Thanks!

Due to the amount of snow currently and potentially and the challenge of the road, the KTTG Executive Committee has made the decision to cancel formal Losar activities at the Tashi Gomang stupa February 10.
Happy Losar this Wood Dragon year, may all obstacles be pacified.

SCHEDULE UPDATES!!

CONSECRATION OF KHENPO KARTHAR STUPA OF ENLIGHTENMENT AUGUST 3 - 9

Consecration activities at the stupa begin on Saturday the 5th at 10 am, and continue each day starting at 9 am, through Tuesday the 8th.

Lunch will be brought to the lamas at the stupa, there will not be a long break in the afternoon.

Sojong vows will be taken every day in the Vajra Vidya shrine room at 7 AM.

We are happy to announce the consecration of a new stupa honoring Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche ( 1924 – 2019 ).

Update on the consecrarion of the Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche stupa.

Thursday, August 3, the consecration pujas for the Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche stupa will commence at Vajra Vidya Retreat Center at 7 AM.

Friday, August 4, pujas will continue at VVRC, beginning at 7 AM.

Saturday, August 5 through Tuesday, August 8 the consecration ceremonies will be at the site of the stupa all day beginning at 9 AM.

Any further updates will be passed on.

The upcoming consecration of the Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche stupa at the Tashi Gomang stupa site will commence the morning of August 4th at approximately 9 AM with afternoon sessions at 2 PM. The consecration will continue daily ending the morning of August 8th.

For those attending be prepared to park in the areas around the Cottonwood water tank and walk to the stupa or ride in a shuttle vehicle we will provide. Anyone with a disability and unable to walk or ride in the shuttle will be given access to the stupa parking area.

Please observe the guidance of the parking attendants and signs.

We will provide drinking water at the site, please bring a refillable water container and stay hydrated, it's hot.

For the past 25 years, Karma Thegsum Tashi Gomang in Crestone, Colorado, has provided space for those wishing to take up the challenge of solitary retreat, to develop new or continuing practices in aspiration for the well-being of all sentient beings in this marvelous, interrelated world.

Our three retreat cabins are basic but comfortable, with running water, wood, propane and passive solar heat, solar-powered electricity and compost toilets. In preparation for the upcoming Losar celebrations, KTTG will be replacing the flags on the stupa land this coming Sunday, February 20 commencing at 11 AM. All hands are welcome and invited to share in the merit of this activity.
