You can’t mix sage with Christ.
You can’t mix zodiac signs with Christ.
You can’t mix crystals, energy readings, spirit guides, manifestations, astrology, and Jesus.
At some point, believers have to stop trying to blend light with darkness.
And before someone says, “But it’s harmless,” let’s go to Scripture.
The issue isn’t whether something feels harmless.
The issue is whether it points you toward Christ or away from Christ.
Many people are burning sage to “cleanse negative energy.”
But the Bible never teaches believers to remove evil spirits through smoke.
The Bible teaches believers to resist the devil, submit to God, pray, fast, and stand in the authority of Christ.
The power isn’t in the smoke.
The power is in the Savior.
Others say:
“I just read my horoscope for fun.”
But astrology has always been condemned in Scripture because it seeks guidance from creation rather than the Creator.
Think about it.
Why would a believer seek direction from stars when the Holy Spirit lives inside them?
Why would someone consult a zodiac chart when they have access to the Word of God?
The problem isn’t curiosity.
The problem is source.
Who are you allowing to guide you?
Because whatever guides you eventually governs you.
Let’s be clear.
Your identity is not:
♈ Aries
♉ Ta**us
♊ Gemini
♋ Cancer
♌ Leo
♍ Virgo
♎ Libra
♏ Scorpio
♐ Sagittarius
♑ Capricorn
♒ Aquarius
♓ Pisces
Your identity is either in Christ or it isn’t.
The apostles never asked:
“What’s your sign?”
They asked:
“Have you repented?”
“Have you believed the Gospel?”
“Have you received the Holy Spirit?”
Modern culture wants to tell you that the stars determine your personality.
Scripture says Christ transforms your character.
One points you to fate.
The other points you to redemption.
One says:
“This is who you are.”
The Gospel says:
“This is who you were, but Christ makes all things new.”
And here’s the deeper issue.
Many people want the benefits of Christianity while keeping one foot in spirituality.
They want Jesus for heaven and astrology for guidance.
Jesus for salvation and sage for protection.
Jesus for eternity and crystals for power.
But Jesus never shares His throne.
Never.
When Israel repeatedly fell into idolatry, they didn’t always reject God completely.
Many times they tried to worship God while also adopting the practices of surrounding nations.
And every single time God rebuked it.
Why?
Because mixture always leads to compromise.
The enemy rarely starts with outright rebellion.
He starts with mixture.
A little truth.
A little deception.
A little Jesus.
A little spirituality.
Until eventually people can’t tell the difference.
And let’s be honest.
If sage can cleanse your home, why did Christ die?
If crystals can protect your spirit, why do you need the Holy Spirit?
If the stars control your destiny, why do you need God’s sovereignty?
These systems contradict the very foundation of Christianity.
Because Christianity is built upon one central truth:
Jesus is enough.
Not Jesus plus astrology.
Not Jesus plus sage.
Not Jesus plus crystals.
Not Jesus plus manifestation.
Jesus.
Period.
Colossians says:
“In Him all the fullness of Deity dwells bodily, and you have been made complete in Him.”
Complete.
Not partially complete.
Not spiritually lacking.
Complete.
The believer does not need additional spiritual tools outside of Christ.
You need deeper surrender to Christ.
You don’t need the universe speaking to you.
You need God speaking through His Word.
You don’t need an energy cleansing.
You need repentance.
You don’t need your chakras aligned.
You need your heart submitted to Jesus.
You don’t need the stars to reveal your future.
You need faith in the One who created the stars.
The truth is simple:
The same God who hung every star in the heavens is not asking you to consult them.
He’s asking you to follow His Son.
And you cannot follow Christ while borrowing spiritual practices that deny His sufficiency.
Because Jesus is not an accessory to your spirituality.
He is Lord.
