The Vocation Office of the Diocese of Joliet is commissioned to help all people discern their vocation. Every person in the world has a vocation, a calling from God. The most important voice you will ever hear is

the voice of God. He has a wonderful plan for your life, but often we are too busy and live in such a noisy world that we do not hear His voice. We find joy in life not by doing what we want to do but by following the will of God. And because God loves us so much, He will never call us to something that will make us miserable. Praise be to Almighty God! This past Saturday we had the privilege and honor of welcoming six young men into the order of the priesthood. Fathers Samuel Bergmann, Andrew Bogusz, Jonathan Hernandez, Abel Luviano, Christopher Otieno, and Joshua White, made their vows and accepted the Church as their bride. Take a look at some of the moments captured from the joyous event! and please pray for our priests as they enter into their first year of ministry! This ordination marks Fr. Steven Borello's final ordination as the Vocations Director for the Diocese of Joliet! give our thanks to Fr. Borello for the great blessing he has been to our seminarians and also to our Diocese. He will be in our prayers as he takes up his ministry at St. Petronille's Parish in Glen Ellyn!

We're going to Mundelein Seminary this Saturday and we're inviting young men (grades 7-10) to join us for a day of prayer, touring the seminary, and games. Join our Joliet Seminarians at Mundelein to learn more about what the seminary is like and hear their stories. The event is 10am to 5pm. Lunch is provided. We hope to see you there! The event cost is $10.

Praise be to Almighty God! Today we celebrate the ordination of Deacons Joshua White, Christopher Otieno, and Alex Markiso to the order of the Diaconate! Dcn. Markiso has been ordained as a permanent Deacon while Josh and Christopher have been ordained transitional Deacons taking the next step towards the priesthood. Please pray for these young men in their ministry and their journey!

The Diocese of Joliet is inviting all high-schoolers to a 1-day retreat to help you find and gain focus on the voice of the Lord so that you can learn where he is calling you! We will be joined by some amazing speakers, have time for prayer/adoration, and the day will be concluded with Vigil Mass. Parents are welcome to join for mass.
