From: Tyler Memorial Funeral Home

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Denise Ann Erwin Bosher on January 31, 2026, at the age of 67. Denise was born on April 14, 1958, to Richard Reeves Erwin and Teddie Ann Crocker Erwin in Richland Hills, Texas. 1904 Monument Returns Home

In November, Karon, was reading the “Bourland Field Estates Neighbors and Friends:, a page and a lady had posted a picture of a young girl standing next to an old marble monument. The lady was asking the question. “Did anyone know where this person was buried ?” Karon recognized the name and was able to verify that the person was indeed buried in the Cresson Cemetery. We contacted, Mary Butt (the lady that posted the photo). Mary had found the monument while cleaning out a building at Bourland Field and was trying to find a way to return the stone to where it belonged. It took about a week to get everything in place, so about November 21st, Modern Monument Company of Cleburne, gently picked the monument up and returned it to the Cresson Cemetery. The monument had been missing for more than 30 years, based on a replacement stone placed on the grave by the family. We do not know any of the family but would love to hear from them. We wish to thank Mary Butt for her post and her desire to see the stone found it’s way home. We also wish to thank Mathew and his wife Marianne of Modern Monument for the care in transporting and placing of this part of our cemetery history.
