Notre Dame Parish Notre Dame Parish is a Catholic Parish in Cresco, Iowa. The parish was formed from two existing parishes, Assumption and St. Joseph, in 1999. The history of St.

It was formed from two existing parishes, Assumption and St. In 2007, the parish moved to one site. Notre Dame also runs a school that has students from preschool through sixth grade. Joseph’s and Assumption goes back to the 1850’s, but our new parish, Notre Dame, is young. We have been greatly blessed by the gifts our parish community continues to share.

In his letter to the Romans, St. Paul encourages fellow Christians to uphold steady prayer, “Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.” As we continue to move forward with the Journey in Faith initiative, prayer serves as our foundation. Prayer for the people of God, especially parish staff members, and those who bear the yoke of leadership.

Having a set day of communal prayer will strengthen our bonds as an Archdiocesan community. Lifting up our souls, hearts and minds simultaneously surely will rise as a pleasing offering before God.⁣ This Wednesday, we will share a communal prayer to offer up for Journey in Faith.

They are still taking registrations until Friday in order to fill the remaining spots on the bus. This is a wonderful opportunity to see some of Iowa's beautiful churches and experience Mass at the Cathedral! The bus will come to Notre Dame for pick-up and drop-off too since many from our parish signed up!
