My thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Rev. Dr. Anthony Corbett. His remarkable legacy and leadership will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he inspired. 💙

To the Esteemed Churches and Constituents of the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, Inc.:

Grace and peace be unto you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

With a heart heavy with sorrow and eyes filled with tears, we inform you of the transition from labor to reward of our beloved and illustrious Convention President, the Reverend Dr. Anthony Q. Corbett, who went home to be with the Lord earlier today.

This is a challenging moment for the Corbett family, the Lundy Chapel Baptist Church family and our convention. We mourn deeply because we have lost not only a leader, but a faithful servant of God—a man of compassion, courage, and unwavering commitment to the people and the work of the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia.

As we navigate this valley of grief, we ask for your earnest and continued prayers for the entire Corbett family. Pray for their strength, peace, and comfort in the coming days. Let us also extend our support to the Lundy Chapel Baptist Church family as they grieve the loss of their beloved shepherd.

Now is the time for us as a Convention family to come together, united in love, faith, and purpose. We will share details regarding the Home going arrangements as soon as the family provides them.

In the meantime, let us wrap our arms around the Corbett family with our prayers and presence.

It is with great sadness that we announce the transition of our Senior Pastor, Reverend Doctor Anthony Corbett, Sr.!

Please keep his wife Lady Juanita Corbett, their children and Family and the Lundy Chapel Family lifted in prayer as we all process this great loss.

Thank you all for the outpouring of love already shown. We are so appreciative and grateful for each of you!

Mother Catherine Drummond Lattany was called from 96 years of earthly service to her heavenly reward of eternal life on Friday, December 13, 2024. Deacon Gregory Lattany and her loving family announce the Homegoing Celebration for her beautiful life and the lasting legacy of their beloved Mother.

Good afternoon. Due to pending Hurricane Milton. I'm canceling the Wednesday night revival meeting. Because of the high volume of traffic of evacuation from Florida, I don't want to put anyone at risk. In addition to traffic, wind, and rain, it is a concern.
