For more information visit www.myahm.org Abundant Harvest Ministries is a local congregation of the Church of God of Prophecy, an International Body with headquarters located in Cleveland, Tennessee. We are Evangelical and Pentecostal in nature and our roots trace back to the New Testament churc

h and in recent history were organized in 1903. Our churches are in over 125 nations and in all 50 states with over 1.3 million in membership. Our Doctrinal Beliefs:

We believe in the Bible to be God’s written revelation of himself to mankind and our guide in all matters of faith. It is supernaturally inspired, the inerrant and preserved by God. It is the divinely authoritative standard for every age and for everyone. We believe in God as the absolute and sole creator of the universe and that creation was by divine feat, not through evolutionary processes. We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man and that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life. Jesus taught and brought miracles, wonders and signs as revealed in the Gospels. Jesus was crucified, rose from the dead on the third day as was foretold in the scriptures. He later ascended to heaven where He is at the right hand of the Father and is the Head of the church. We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. Romans 10:9-10

We believe in a second definite work of grace called sanctification. Sanctification eradicates the sinful nature of person so that we might present ourselves, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God as told in Romans 12:1

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. The Holy Ghost has placed gifts in the church for the edifying of the Body. It is important for each Christian to discover, develop and use their gift[s] to help fulfill the mission of building the Church. We believe that water baptism is an open confession of faith and should be performed after one accepts Christ as Lord and Savior. We baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. We believe the church is the Body of Christ and as a body, each member is interrelated and affected by one another. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both saved and lost. The one everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. We believe in the pre-millennial second coming of Christ. We believe in the sanctity of the family unit, and the importance of loving, forgiving and being faithfully committed to establish Christian homes. We believe in making positive community contribution through worship, servant hood, decency and prayer.

Why do you serve at AHM?
I serve because as believers we are called to be servants, not only for the body of Christ but also for the lost and those in need. I serve in any way that I am able because It’s something God has put on my heart to do.

What has God taught you through serving?
The biggest thing I have learned through serving is how good our God is. As we serve others, we understand that we are the vessels God uses to bless them. What is sometimes missed is that God uses that opportunity to bless us too, as we give of ourselves.

What would you say to someone considering serving?
For anyone considering serving I would say that there is nothing else that blesses me more than to be obedient to God through serving.

Why do you serve at AHM?
“In 2005 my father in law ask us to stop by a church in Crescent city. We were doing revivals and living in crescent city at the time.
One day me and Maxine stopped by this church on Ewers road. It had a partial block addition started with the blocks about 4 or 5 high.
We stepped inside of this section and walked around for a few minutes and then walked back to our car. I asked Maxine if the Lord spoke anything to her and she asked me had He spoke to me. I said yes I believe He did. She asked what. I said it would be a great place to start a school.

At this time we had no thought or even an inclination that this was an opening for us to come and pastor.

In 2007 while running revivals in Ohio and Kentucky the state overseer of our denomination called me and ask if we would come and take the pastor position at Abundant Harvest Fellowship in Crescent City.

As we prayed about it we felt that is what God wanted for us to do and we are still 19 years later believing that He still has work for us to do at this wonderful church.”-Bishop Waid

“Because we love ❤️ these people and we want to be a part of what God is doing for this community.
We have not as yet accomplished everything that we think and feel God wants to do in this area.
There is more to come!
Our intentions are to always be an encouragement and support even though we no longer are the lead Pastors.” -Maxine

What has God taught you through serving?
“God has taught me commitment, surrender, and love through serving.” -Bishop Waid

“I have also learned that God uses other people to accomplish His will.
My first experience with this is when God used my Pastor and Youth Leader to convince me to start teaching in a Pre-teen class on Sunday mornings.
I trembled.
I didn’t think I could possibly teach a class especially a teens class.
I was young in the Lord myself and I didn’t know the Bible.
This got me into studying the Bible.
I reluctantly accepted the challenge and have continued throughout my life walked and worked in areas that I didn’t think I was qualified.
I have loved it all.
I see now that all my life God was building my faith.” -Maxine

What would you say to someone considering serving?
“Serving is what Jesus was showing us when He girded Himself with a towel and began to wash the disciples feet. Serving is a request from God for us to be faithful and compassionate to the local church to which you belong. No one is called to just attend and sit on a pew. In the grand scheme of things we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus.” -Bishop

“Do everything as you would to the Lord as if He was here on earth 🌍.
As we serve, we are obeying the two commandments:
Loving God and loving others” -Maxine

Why do you serve at AHM?

I serve at AHM because I like serving. I truly enjoy it, and I believe God calls all of us to serve. Serving helps me live and love like Jesus in a very real way. I also believe in the vision our pastors have for our church, and I feel like the more the body of Christ pitches in and helps carry that vision, the easier it will be to reach it.

It is truly a joy to serve the Lord and know that you are doing it for Him. And if I get the opportunity to love on people, help them through things they may be going through, or show them the love of Jesus along the way, that is just an added bonus and blessing.

What has God taught you through serving?

God has taught me to trust Him, even when it is uncomfortable. Over the past few years, He has called me to serve in different ways, and sometimes it has been outside of my comfort zone. In those moments, I’ve felt like I wasn’t equipped or ready, but God has quieted the voice of the enemy in my head and reminded me, “You’re serving because I asked you to.”

I’ve learned that it’s not about what I think I can or cannot do, but it’s about being willing and obedient. When God calls you, He will also equip you and walk with you through it.

What would you say to someone considering serving?

Pray about it. Ask God where He wants you to serve and then try it. There is ALWAYS somewhere for everyone to serve.

It’s not always rainbows and Skittles, and it may not always be easy or comfortable, but it is always worth it. You never know how God might use you to impact someone’s life, simply by being willing to say yes and step out in faith.

Why do you serve at AHM?
“I serve at AHM because I felt led by the Lord to do my part to help our church family bring more people to Jesus.” -Courtney

“I feel like God wants us all to be active and serving in our local church, and I love my church and church family, I would do anything I could for them.” -Jeffery

What has God taught you through serving?
“God has taught me through both Kids Ministry and Media that His timing is perfect and even when I thought I wasn't enough that there were littles needing to truly learn the love of Christ. To step back and not try and take control of my story but allow Him to hold the pen and write it.” -Courtney

“That I am not the main character, at least and especially not most of the time. He's taught me what “Him not being served but serving” means, and how that is one way we show the love of Christ, by loving and serving our neighbors.” -Jeffery

What would you say to someone considering serving?
“I would say don't be afraid that you’re not enough to serve because the Lord has called us all for one thing or another and it truly is a blessing when you listen and serve. Things you could never see yourself doing, but you actually find yourself right where you need to be.” -Courtney

“If you're considering it, do it. God will bless any and everything you do for Him, and for His church, and for another person. And there are people you can reach or help that others may never be able to, you have a calling and destiny that God hand picked for you and only you, you just have to walk in it, and go after it.” -Jeffery
