Christian, be cautious of the voices that incite rivalry and conceit. The voices of Babylon, seeking to restore an illusory glorious past, cry out for greatness. This desire for past grandeur is a delusion and a deception, aiming for self-glorification. In stark contrast, Christ calls us to humility. The world often humiliates others to elevate themselves in status and power. However, Scripture instructs us to “have the mind of Christ,” to prioritize others above ourselves, and to care for the well-being of others. Christian, understand that Christ seeks a humble people; for us, the path is the cross before the crown.
