Jesus never negotiates with idols.

The crowd in Ephesus shouted for two straight hours because their false god was being exposed. They believed they were defending religion.

They were really protecting what controlled them.

Every generation has its own Artemis. Sometimes it is money. Sometimes comfort. Sometimes success. Sometimes control.

The gospel does not simply make us better people. It dethrones every rival and places Christ where He belongs. That is why genuine faith always changes everyday life.

The loudest voices are not always the right ones.

The people of Ephesus filled a theater with shouting. Luke says many of them did not even know why they were there.

Truth stayed quiet.

Chaos became loud.

That still happens today. Culture rewards outrage. Christ calls us to truth. Following Jesus means standing on conviction instead of joining every crowd that demands our attention.

The gospel is never carried by volume. It is carried by faithfulness.

Save this post for the next time the noise around you feels overwhelming.

What if your biggest idol has no altar?

Most people imagine idols as carved statues from ancient history. Scripture tells a different story. An idol is anything that quietly claims the place that belongs to Jesus alone.

This Sunday we will step into Acts 19 and watch an entire city erupt because the gospel threatened what people loved most.

The question is not whether idols still exist. The question is whether we recognize them.

Join us as we discover why when Jesus becomes Lord, every idol loses its claim.

Join us this Sunday at Cresbard Methodist Church at 10:30 AM. Bring someone who needs to hear this message.

Apollos knew the Bible cold. It still was not enough.

He could out-argue anyone in the synagogue. Fervent. Eloquent. Mighty in the Scriptures.

But he was missing something, and he did not even know it.
Two people took him aside quietly, without embarrassing him, and filled in what was missing.

That is still how it works. Some of the most Bible-literate people in our churches are still waiting to be filled with everything God has for them.

Who took the time to pour into your faith when you did not even know what you were missing? Tag them below.

God does not stop at partial faith.

He did not stop with Apollos, still teaching from an incomplete picture of Jesus.

He did not stop with twelve believers in Ephesus who had never heard of the Holy Spirit.

And He is not going to stop with you.

Whatever feels unfinished in your walk with Him right now, that is exactly where He is working. πŸ™Œ

Share this with someone who needs to hear that God is not finished with them.

There is a difference between knowing about God and knowing God.

Paul once walked into a room of sincere believers and asked one blunt question: did you receive the Holy Spirit?

Their answer stopped him cold. They had not even heard there was a Holy Spirit to receive.

Sincerity is not the same as fullness. Zeal is not the same as completeness.

God is not interested in leaving His work in you half finished. He wants to complete what He started.

Save this post if you needed the reminder that God is not done with you yet.

Paul did not care which preacher you preferred.

The church at Corinth was doing what churches still do β€” dividing over personalities, preferences, and styles.

Paul shut it down fast.

Not because the differences did not matter. But because they were arguing about the building while ignoring the foundation.

Jesus Christ is the foundation. Everything else is upstream of that. πŸ”₯

Your church tradition cannot save you. Only Jesus can.

We can debate worship styles all day long. But Paul drew one line that cannot move.

"No one can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid β€” which is Jesus Christ." β€” 1 Corinthians 3:11

There is no denomination that saves. No tradition that redeems. No heritage that atones.

Jesus Christ is the only foundation that holds.

Join us this Sunday as three congregations gather around that one Name.

You can fill your head with facts and still be empty.

That is not an insult. It is the exact situation Apollos was in.

He taught accurately. He taught boldly. And he was still standing on the near side of what God had for him.

Most of us are not lacking information about Jesus. We are lacking surrender to His Spirit.

This week we are asking a harder question than "what do you believe." We are asking what you have actually received.

What is one area where you have been settling for partial faith?

Comment below, we would love to pray over it this week.

The storms will come. What are you built on?

Jesus told two stories about two builders.

Same storm. Same rain. Same wind. Same flood.

One house stood. One collapsed completely.

The only difference was the foundation.

That is not a metaphor for someday. That is a question for right now. ✝️

What is your life actually built on? Your church membership? Your family name? Your good intentions?

Only one foundation holds when everything else shakes.

Drop a comment β€” what does "built on the rock" look like in your everyday life?
