Hey church family and friends....it's good to be back home. Huge thanks to Bro. Lee Duncan for filling in last Sunday. I know you were blessed by his ministry through the word. We praise God for Bro Lee!!!

I wanted to share something with you all.

I’ve been reading through the OT, a chapter a day, and I've made my way to Deuteronomy 6 today. It’s very familiar to us. But I wanted to share something with you.

The LORD is telling the people of Israel that they are about to enter the promised land. What they and their parents have experienced in the hardships and trials of the wilderness over the last 40 years is not to be forgotten.

He commands them to ‘Love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. And to teach all of these things to your children. He actually uses the word ‘Impress’….Impress them on your children. Talk about them all the time with your kids.

And here’s the thing that hit me that He said...When the LORD brings you into the land, and you receive things that you did not work for, and He blesses you abundantly, and you have all and more than you need….

He says this…in Deuteronomy 6.12 “be careful that you do not forget the LORD, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.”

There is always the temptation for you and me….to forget that the LORD saved us and set us free from this world and worldliness. To forget that we are supposed to be distinct from the world. To forget that all that we have is from the LORD. To forget to be filled with gratitude all day long for His provisions, protections, and blessings.

He says to teach and impress all of these things onto your kids. To be diligent in this way.

So I’m asking you….are YOU living as if you have forgotten the LORD? Are you living as if you have forgotten who Jesus is….and what Jesus has done for you?

Are YOU living right now….filled with gratitude for your salvation, deliverance from spiritual slavery, and worshiping and praising the LORD, because He has set you free from this world?

Please don’t forget….the LORD in your life. Sunday is easy to remember the LORD. But what about today….right now….the middle of Tuesday? Please don’t be guilty of forgetting Jesus and what Jesus has done for you.

I was reading this passage this morning and just prayed and told Jesus that I don't want to be guilty of forgetting the LORD when my life is filled with good things that He has given me. I want to love the LORD my God with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength. And I want my church and my children to love him as well, this way.

May God bless us as the Holy Spirit leads and shepherds us this way as a church family today.

I hope you have a great day remembering and loving Jesus today.

Love you Crenshaw!!!
