While faithfulness comes naturally to Jesus, it does not come naturally to us. Faithfulness is the very nature of Jesus. He doesn’t fluctuate, fail, or fall short. He is completely faithful, all the time. Hebrews reminds us that Jesus is not only greater than anyone who came before Him but also the foundation of our hope. As Hebrews 13:8 declares, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” That means the same Jesus who was faithful in the past is faithful in your life right now.

Today, Pastor Buddy continues his sermon series on Staying Faithful in Seasons of Uncertainty, and we will learn how Jesus is faithful to His Father and His Father’s House.

Jesus was faithful in every area: faithful to His Father, faithful in His purpose, and faithful to people, even when they were unfaithful to Him. He completed the work He was sent to do and continues to intercede for us today. And the good news doesn’t stop there. He will be faithful to return because He is a promise keeper. How marvelous it is that we can live confidently, knowing that whatever is over our heads is already under His feet.

In seasons of uncertainty, we often believe we are faithful, until our faith is tested. The truth is, our faithfulness has limits, but Jesus does not. While people in Scripture walked into unknown outcomes, Jesus knew exactly what lay ahead: rejection, suffering, and the cross. Still, He remained faithful. That’s why Scripture challenges us to shift our focus from ourselves to Him: “consider Jesus” (Hebrews 3:1).

Join us tomorrow for our Sunday service. You can join in person at 10:30 a.m. If you can’t make it in person, you can view the livestream on our page at the same time. This week, Pastor Buddy continues his sermon series on Staying Faithful in Seasons of Uncertainty, and we’re diving into the life of Jesus. True strength in uncertain seasons isn’t trying harder. It is looking at Jesus more.

Jesus is not just an example of faithfulness; He is the source of it because He became human. He understands our struggles and helps us in them (Hebrews 2:17; Hebrews 4:15). He is constant, unchanging, and dependable in every season. Even when our faith wavers, His never does. When life feels unpredictable, we can anchor ourselves in this truth: Jesus is faithful yesterday, today, and forever.

Paul, regarded as one of the greatest Christians, still deserved hell. You may ask, how is that possible? But Paul was a sinner, just like everyone else. Paul reminds us that “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Did you realize that “wages” means what we’ve earned? According to God’s truth, every one of us, no matter how good we think we are, has earned spiritual death and separation from Him. Paul made it clear that even he, a faithful servant, was still a sinner in need of grace.
But here’s the good news: the story doesn’t end there. The same verse tells us, “the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” We may deserve judgment, but God offers grace. He sent Jesus so we wouldn’t have to receive what we’ve earned. The question is: have you received the gift?
