WHO KNEW?!? Today we taught the kids how to make waffles. Who knew that you could tie a simple task into a lesson? Let me explain. Our Bible verse was “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.” - Ephesians 2:10. We talked about how God is making something good from us. We took simple ingredients like flour, sugar, eggs, etc. By themselves they aren’t very exciting. BUT, when mixed together, they create something wonderful!! God is making something wonderful out of each of us. THANK YOU GOD, for these children, for they are something WONDERFUL!

Recipe for the waffles:
2 Cups all-purpose flour
2 T Sugar
1 T Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Eggs
1 3/4 Cup whole milk
1/2 Cup melted butter
1 tsp. Vanilla

Mix well and put into hot waffle iron.
Makes 8-10 waffles. Top with all kinds of goodies, like we did!! 😋😋

HOMECOMING 2026
Every year, we look forward to welcoming friends and family on this special Sunday. Family members come home to honor those that have gone on before us that helped build the foundation of this church many years ago. Their legacy carries on each year. Each year we welcome new friends and new members, and we are so very thankful for each of them that come make this such a special day. If you are looking for a church home, please consider visiting with us. We welcome you with open arms!!

Just a friendly reminder that Homecoming Service is THIS Sunday, August 16, 2026!! We would LOVE for you to join us at 11:00 am for worship service, followed by a delicious BBQ and Stew lunch. There will be delicious desserts to top the meal off. 😋 We will have children’s church/nursery provided for the little ones. The fellowship building will be open and cooled off, so don’t let the heat keep you away! Come enjoy the day with us!

The kiddos enjoyed tie dying aprons Sunday during church. We took them outside and let them create. Was it messy? Yep! Was it hot? Yep! Was it fun? YEP! We have fun things planned in the upcoming weeks to put those aprons to good use!! Come join us! We have a great time!

Today was all about our youth. We celebrated each student and gave them a small gift to help them start the school year off right. They were surrounded by their families and the church prayed over them for wisdom, guidance and protection for the upcoming school year. We also had several in our children’s church this morning. We have LOTS of fun activities coming up for our kiddos. We would LOVE to have you join us.

Our Homecoming Service at Margaret’s Grove is Sunday, August 16th. We would LOVE for you to join us for worship service beginning at 11:00. We will have a nursery/children’s church for the littles. Immediately following worship, make plans to join us for a BBQ lunch and homemade desserts!! ALL ARE WELCOME!

YOU’RE INVITED!! Please join us for our annual Homecoming Service on Sunday August 16, 2026. Church service begins at 11:00. A delicious BBQ lunch will be served after the service. Please make plans to come worship, fellowship and eat. We would LOVE to see you there!

We said “Goodbye for now” to a precious lady, Mary Ellon Jackson, on Saturday. The photos show just how many people loved her and how many people she impacted during her life. What a legacy she left! That evening, our church had a fish fry in honor of the deacons of the church and in celebration of her life as well. “Well done, my Good and faithful Servant.”
