First Presbyterian Church of Cranford, NJ

First Presbyterian Church of Cranford, NJ In-person and livestream worship on Facebook and YouTube at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. We welcome diversity, and respect and care for all of God's creation.

As the body of Christ, inspired by the Holy Spirit, we seek to be faithful disciples, living our lives as a testimony of Christ's love for all. We seek to spread the Word and invite others to live Jesus' command to love one another as the Lord first loved us.

In February 1928, our church began to charter Boy Scout Troop 80.

🤝 We celebrate 98 years together! 🏕️

We thank the Scouts for their support of our mission work. They have been a valuable team assisting with assembling lunches on Sunday afternoons for the Cranford Elmora Soup Kitchen. They have gone above and beyond, collecting socks, hats, scarves and gloves to assist those in need in Cranford and in surrounding communities.

Join us tomorrow as we hear from our Scouts and their leaders during 10am worship!

"We will tell the next generation…" — Psalm 78:4

Every gift, every prayer, every step forward is part of a legacy of faith that carries God’s love into the future. For those who made a promise to give to our 2026 Stewardship Campaign, thank you for helping plant seeds that will grow in the hearts of our children, our teens, and those still finding their way.

Ten Commandments, Two Relationships.
The first four: love God.
The next six: love people.
Still timeless. Still transforming. 🙌

Enjoy this heartwarming virtual performance of “Glorious” by David Archuleta.

Even when we’re apart, God’s music brings us together. 💛

When the world feels chaotic and the headlines stir frustration or fatigue, it’s easy to lose heart. But Scripture reminds us to fix our eyes on Jesus—the one who goes before us, the one who holds it all together.

He is our steady ground. Our peace in the storm. Our hope when things don’t make sense.

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” — Hebrews 12:2

Faith-Filled Leadership 🤝

Tuesday night’s joint meeting of our Session and Board of Deacons was a beautiful reminder of the faith-filled leadership that helps guide and care for our church family.

Our Elders, along with Pastor Bae, serve faithfully as spiritual and organizational leaders, helping to shape the church’s vision with prayerful wisdom. Our Deacons embody the caring heart of the church, reaching out with compassion to support those in need.

If you are grateful for these dedicated servants who lead with love, listen with humility, and help make space for God’s grace in every part of church life, let us know in the comments! 💛🙏

🕊️ Peace that holds steady, even in the storm.

Isaiah 26:3 reminds us that God’s peace isn’t fleeting—it’s a steady, sustaining gift for those who trust. May today bring calm to your heart and quiet to your spirit. 💛

🌿 Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 🌿

Dr. King once said, "Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve." His life was a testament to the kind of greatness rooted not in power, but in compassion, courage, and love.

As a church family committed to walking alongside those who are hungry, unhoused, or hurting, this vision is lived out through everyday acts of service—quiet reminders that God’s love is always at work.

Shown here is last year's MLK Jr. Day of Service "Drive-Up Drop-off" Collection Event complete with special visitors!

Don't forget to swing by today between 3 and 5pm on Springfield Avenue at the corner of Miln St. and drop off your donations of diapers, wrapped sandwiches, or women's sanitary products and make it a "day on - not a day off!"

“And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
— Micah 6:8

May this day be a reminder that mercy matters, kindness matters, and every small act of care helps shape a more hopeful world.
