To evangelize the lost from a place of prayer in the 24/7 reality and to walk in the power of the holy spirit moving in signs and wonders through praying and lying on of hands. As part of our CEC lesson two Sundays ago, we had the children repent on behalf of the Christian community for anti-Semitism (which we explained in simple terms). Then they prayed for emotional healing for Jewish people in NJ, and that the barriers of hurt (from centuries of abuse and violence) be removed by the healing love of the Father. Imagine how we felt seeing headlines about the anti-Semitic shooting incident in Jersey City just two days later! What a powerful moment to have tapped into God's heart concerning this issue, to have children pray specific, targeted prayers in advance of the crisis! It's just another reminder of how the importance of partnership with the Holy Spirit in leading children to pray!
