At the May OESP Westchester Chapter meeting, Moises Ortiz-Pastor and Patrick Brown from Emerson Swan presented the GE side-discharge heat pump 🔥❄️

📋 Unit specs:
✅ 1.5–5 ton units
✅ Energy Star rated
✅ Range of -22°F up to 75°F
✅ Up to 180 feet of line set

🔑 Key takeaways:
✅ Never size by replacement alone — always do a proper heat load assessment
✅ Know your balance point and when auxiliary heating is required
✅ Account for snow load, service clearance, and freeze protection
⚠️ Real examples of poor installs — including units stacked on a wall blocking proper discharge — made the lessons stick.

Customer comfort starts with getting it right upfront. 💯

☀️❄️ The OESP South Jersey chapter had a great May meeting at the Moose Lodge in Mt. Holly, NJ, with 20 members and guests coming together for an evening of learning and networking! 🤝📚

A special thank you to Scott Vadino, Technical Trainer with FW Webb and OESP National Immediate Past President, for an informative presentation on preparing for the busy summer cooling season. 🛠️🌡️

Scott shared valuable insights on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting strategies, and the tools needed to properly service today’s advanced HVAC systems. 🛠️

A great time at the OESP Fairfield County Chapter May meeting!

The OESP Fairfield County Chapter welcomed 38 members and 12 vendors for a Mini A/C Tool Trade Show 🛠️ packed with live demos and hands-on displays 🔧.

Vendors brought multiple products ranging from the latest tools to parts and cleaning products 🧰🧼—all designed to make the technician's job easier in the field.

And to celebrate Cinco de Mayo? We did it right 🌮🎉 — Taco Bar, great company 🤝, vendor product raffles 🎟️, and a 50/50 drawing to wrap up the evening!

So many students and schools came together at Eastern Energy Expo to compete, learn, and gain real-world experience in our OESP-sponsored Skills Competition! 🏆🎉

With events like Parts Identification, Boiler Build, and Hydrostat Wiring, students had the chance to showcase their knowledge and sharpen their skills.

Watching these future professionals put their talents into action was truly inspiring 👏
