Happy Birthday to LaVerne Smith! If something is taking place at CG Methodist, she’s there leading, doing, and helping. Years of VBS, Methodist Breakfasts, bible studies, Methodist ladies doing anything, preaching or serving as lay leader when needed, keeping minutes at years of board meetings, cooking for chamber of commerce meals, and serving families at funerals. She is in it to serve others. We are blessed that she is in our lives. ❤️🙏🏼❤️

Due to the incoming winter storm and freezing temperatures, it’s been decided to cancel services and fellowship lunch for this Sunday, the 25th. We will reschedule lunch because you know Methodists like to cook! Y’all stay warm, and come see us on Feb. 1.

I didn’t get a picture from 5th Sunday last night. We had about 25 people from all three CG churches come together to sing the old songs and enjoy food and fellowship afterwards. It was a great evening of worship. Everyone is invited! If you aren’t from The Gap but you want to join us next time, come on over!
