ool, morning worship and Sunday evening service. Agreement and arrangements were made to continue to meet in the Legion building until plans were made for the construction of a church building. November 14,1961, Rev. Jess Aleshire was elected as pastor. Land was donated by Webb and Bernice Blades for the church to be built on. Constuction began on the church basement in November 1961. The first service in the new basement was held on a cold snowy Sunday, January 7,1962. A business meeting was held to discuss building the sanctuary. December 15, 1962, the first service was held in the new auditorium. It was a Saturday night and 4 souls were saved. Many improvements and additions have been made to the building over the years. Construction began in the summer of 1995 for the addition to the front, addition of a ramp at the back, and additional classrooms. The hours of planning and work was done by the men of the church. Additional land has been donated as needed by the Blades family. We give praise to God for His blessings upon the work and the workers of the project. Currently, funds are being raised for the construction of a new sanctuary.
