A Message from our pastor about or church:
Thank you for stopping by! Crane Christian Church is best described from my perspective as an answer to prayer. I have looked all my life for a place to minister or attend without all the additional religious hokey-pokey that can go with doing Church. That Hokey-Pokey has caused our reputation as Christians little Christ's to become more the reputation as posers. In the motorcycle world there are people everywhere who have all the paraphernalia, wear the shirts, they may have the tattoos, the earrings, maybe even the attitude of the Biker. They may talk about it, they may talk about the new models and how great they are. They may even hang out with the people who ride but when its time to go they stay home. They want the image; they want to be looked on as part of the club. But they are not willing to pay the price. The storms, the heat, the financial obligation,
the risk of injury or death. They just want to hang around the garage and pose. Unfortunately, that is where I see the American Church today we just want the image, the attitude, the comfort that comes with being part of the Chosen but are we willing to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? I see Crane Christian Church as a hospital, as training grounds, the home base for a group of people that are willing to look past appearances, brokenness, questionable background, addictions, we are the woman at the well, we are
the deserters and deniers, we are those who look at Jesus on the cross and say, we have nothing to give, we don't deserve to be here, but remember us in your kingdom. Cracked pots, broken vessels, out casts, debtors to the King, covenant people who beat our breasts and say, Please be merciful to me, a sinner. Whether it be long distance or in the pew, worship with us. Come see us, wear your jeans, wear your suit, no one will notice, no one cares. Our desire is for the Kingdom to Come, His will to be done here in Crane. God Bless you and yours, Bruce Belin
