Today we talked about baptism and the importance of it. We discussed how even Jesus was baptized and it was to fulfill all righteousness.

Baptism allows us to show outwardly what has happened on the inside. We stand and are taken under the water to wash away the old man and sin and arise to life in Christ! And you are never too old to do it!

Thank you, Jesus, for showing us another example of righteousness and for dying for our sinful nature. Matthew 3:13-17

This month we are learning about Thanksgiving. The first real thanksgiving was in the garden of Eden. Adam and Eve gave thanks to God freely, without sin, and enjoyed His blessings. Then sin entered. We cannot get rid of sin by ourselves. We need our Saviour to come in and clean us up. Once He touches our hearts, sin has to flee. Then once again, we are led to pour out our thanks to God, uninhibited. Ask Jesus to clean you up and don't forget to give Him all the thanks! Tell everyone you meet about the One who set you free! He is worthy!! Psalm 9:1

Today we learned (Genesis chapters 6-8) that when the world around us is evil we are to be faithful in our righteousness. If we are faithful in God, He is faithful to remember us, even if the flood waters rise, we look crazy or unqualified, or we are part of something never heard of. God doesn't forget. Remember that next time you see a rainbow and keep building your ark.

There is no doubt that we will face storms in this life. We learned that when things get stormy and scary we can hold on to our faith with Jesus in our ship. It says in Mark 4:39 that all He had to say was "Peace, be still!" and the storm immediately ceased. When you have Jesus in your life, nothing is too big for Him to handle. Have faith, Jesus calms the storm, He can handle the waves threatening to overtake you too.
