Join us Tuesday night at 7:00 for the next few weeks as we discuss the Trauma Informed Church.

May is National Mental Health Awareness Month.

“I find it heartening to see the increased attention to mental health and compassion for mental illness in our culture,” wrote J. D. Peabody in 2024.

“Christian resources addressing the intersection of faith and mental illness are also proliferating, providing theologically grounded pathways to better care. And there are countless examples of congregations powerfully demonstrating the love of Christ to those in mental anguish.

Still, the stigma accompanying mental illness persists, and in church settings, the issue is often complicated further by ignorance or misguided theology.”

Unbinding Lazarus is a new ministry that seeks to educate Christians in Gaston County about addiction and to inspire recovery.

Sometimes, the most brutal truth is recognizing the things that have kept us bound. But God’s freedom is real, and He gently leads us toward it.

Every step toward healing is a step toward hope.

A new ministry to educate Christians in Gaston County about addiction and to inspire recovery.

A new ministry to educate Christians in Gaston County about addiction and to inspire recovery.

Don’t let the stigma isolate you. You were never meant to walk this road alone.

God designed us to carry one another’s burdens: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

And Scripture reminds us of the power of community: “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:12

You don’t have to fight this battle by yourself. We walk together — with faith, with strength, and with hope.
