What a wonderful treat to head to the big city of Williston for dinner out and a concert of Rhett Walker. I think we all had fun and felt a wonderful connection to other believers. A big thanks to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center for the use of their van.

Such a wonderful treat to continue the tradition of flowering the cross.

Please consider joining us for our annual Ecumenical Ash Wednesday Service at the United Church of Craftsbury February 18th at 6:00 pm. Rev. Joe Welker and Pastor Kim will be leading worship with Bev Thurber at the piano. It is a wonderful way to begin your Lenten Journey with hymns, prayer, and meditation to bring you peace, remind you of how loved you are, and center yourself on setting an intention that brings you closer to God in these days leading up to Easter. Being in fellowship with other believers and allowing the Spirit to refresh and renew you can bring much needed hope and light to these end of winter days. All are welcome!

An Invitation to Share: 2026 Lenten Devotional Guide--please share!!!

It is an annual tradition for the United Church of Craftsbury to print a Lenten Guide of daily devotionals submitted by its members and the community. I have been preparing this guide for over 30 years now with the guidance of Craftsbury leaders - Ben Thurber, Joan Simmons, Susie Waterhouse and Anne Wilson. I remember years ago Mrs. Judith Brown, who helped organize and create the original Lenten Guides, gave me a heartfelt thank you for helping to continue this tradition. Though these leaders have passed, they understood how meaningful it was to share a piece of yourself with others during this special Lenten season.

It is time to collect submissions, and everyone is welcome to participate. Please consider submitting a favorite verse, poem, memory, or contemplation that is meaningful to you, celebrates God's creation, God's love, or God's grace. Perhaps it's a reminder of a blessing you've experienced or a tough time you've overcome.

The Details:

*Length: Submissions should fit on a half-sheet page.

*Deadline: Please have submissions in by Sunday, February 8th.

*Timeline: This allows us to have the booklet ready for Ash Wednesday, February 18th.

How to submit:

* Email: [email protected]

* In-Person: Drop them off under the church office door or place them in the donation plate during Sunday service.

Thank you for helping us create a guide for all to enjoy.
