The St. Philip Ladies of Charity wrapped up their second year with the installation of officers for 2026-27. President, Margie Mattern, V.P., Phyllis Gray, Secretary, Sue Rust and Treasurer, Pat Keely.

On Sunday, June 14 during the 11:00 Mass, the ladies gathered to celebrate the ministries they have accomplished in these past two years, serving our community performing works of Mercy, feeding the hungry, helping mothers and babies in need through a diaper drive, sponsoring an Angel tree at Christmas, delivering soup to the homebound due to illness or hospitalzation, and praying for the souls of the departed.
The mass was followed by a luncheon at Rockefellers.

On Wednesday evening, May 27, the coordinators of our Saint Philip Parish Kitchen Table Ministry hosted Pittsburgh resident and nationally known Catholic speaker Michael Aquilina.
Mr. Aquilina spoke about how Catholic Christianity and the Sacred Liturgy have transformed humanity and civilization with the Lord Jesus’ love, compassion, charity, mercy, and hospitality. We usually take our Christian civilization for granted, but Jesus and his people have made our world a much better place for all people.
Many thanks go to Mr. Aquilina- and to our Kitchen Table Ministry for bringing this distinguished Catholic evangelist to our parish community!

Another successful Diaper Drive . The Ladies of Charity collected over 7700 diapers, 139 packages of wipes, 70 bottles of cream ,wash, shampoo and powder, and boxes of food, mom's items ,and clothing and cash donations. Thank you to everyone that donated to this wonderful cause.
