On Friday, August 21st the St. Philip Ladies of Charity attended a "Fun in the Sun" event at Crafton Plaza. Several of our members helped out by serving lunch and visiting with the residents in attendence. The day was fun filled with games, food and a Chinese Auction. Several community organizations were also participating. The LOC donated a "Sun Pale" of gift cards for the Chinese auction.
It was a great event enjoyed by everyone.

St.Philip St.Vincent dePaul expresses the fullness of our appreciation for the extremely generous donations to our food pantry, and the appreciation of those whom we deliver the food to.
Our shelves are full because of you. Thank you to all who volunteered to help out for this important cause.
SVdeP meets the needs of people in many ways, by delivering food to people who don't have reliable transportation, provide emergency food assistance, assist in helping with utilities and rent, and providing furniture to families just finding a place to live, and more

On Sat. August 15th, 8 members of the St. Philip LOC attended the Association of the LOC of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, annual meeting, hosted by Triumph of the Holy Cross parish in Jefferson Hills.
Keynote speaker was Jennifer Ploskina from "Auberle", who spoke about the organization and "strengthening lives in our community".
Members donated toiletry items for the people they serve.

Parishes were asked to bring a display, showing works or mercy and charity ministries we are performing. It was heartwarming to see how much is being done throughout our diocese.

Our own Mary Clare Gerlowski received a service medal for 25 years of membership and service to the LOC. Congratulations Mary.

During Mass, celebrated Rev.Dr. James Gretz, the 26-27 officers were installed.

After lunch, we voted on and passed the amended by-laws of the LOC.
Karen Radu, President, gave closing comments.
Sister Grace Harzog,SC, lead in prayer for all deceased members of the LOC , followed by the closing prayer.
