We always instinctively knew it, but now the research proves it! Kids & Teens who attend Christian camp are over 3 times more likely to remain "church active" into their young adult years than their peers who did not attend camp. (Sorenson, J. "The Summer Camp Experience and Faith Formation…" The Journal of Youth Ministry 13, Fall 2014, 17-40.)
YOUR KIDS DESERVE SUMMER CAMP!

January 30th is the 5th Sunday in January. The youth will take over the service. Joshua Wilson will deliver the message and the youth will lead a contemporary music service as well as lead other aspects of the service. We need all youth of the church to come out Wednesdays at 7:00 starting this week to practice the songs. We will use our normal youth group time to practice.

Nice post from one of our youth (Joshua Wilson). Facebook would not allow me to share his post, so I copied and pasted it.

Emmanuel! God with us! That is the reason we are alive! The reason we are free! I love how much meaning one word has, especially this one. What sets Christianity apart from other religions? This word. Emmanuel. God with us. God, king of kings, Lord of lords, the Great I Am, humbled himself to the form of a servant. This, in my opinion, is the most revolutionary aspect of Christ. He didn't demand us to follow a certain law for salvation(because it is impossible to live up to the necessary standards), but humbled Himself unto death. Even the death of the cross. He could have forced us to bow before him in the blink of an eye, but He washed our feet instead. He died for us! It is impossible for me fully understand what Christ went through. He, God is with us. Emmanuel! Not only that, but he gives us the power to become children of God. Again His mercy and humility doesn't end there. He cleans us of our sin and sends His Spirit to live in us! Emmanuel! We as Christians need to reflect that humility and servanthood. Emmanuel!!!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will...
