Love Springs Baptist Church We are "A GROWING CHURCH FOR A COMING LORD” so come grow with us as we wait on Christ to come! Mr. Love built the spring up with white marble and native stone.

CHURCH HISTORY:

William Love owned much of the land around the "spring". Therefore, the community got its name Love's Springs which became Love Springs because that was more easily said. To***co and cotton were farmed with mules. In June 1925, Rev C.T. Allen came into the community of Love Springs. Curtis Cash brought Rev Allen to Love Springs, Rev Allen stayed at Mr. Cash's home while holding a

2 week revival. Services were held in the old one room Love Springs School House. Eleck Smith offered the use of his land to the community if they would buy the building and move it to Mr Smith's land. Rev Allen stayed on as pastor after the revival for 2 years. In 1945 Rhett Whelchel gave an acre of land to build a church. It was started and the outside was finished in 1946 with God's Acre Plan. The church was started on a shoe string. Everyone worked together to raise the money. They farmed cotton and garden plots which they sold to donate money to the building fund. On the first Sunday in March 1947, we had our first service in the building with only sub floor in. Rev. Vernon Bishop was the first pastor to serve in the new church building. In 1996 a fellowship building was constructed and then in 1999 the church purchased the adjacent 15 acres on which the plans are to build all new facilities to reach a community that is no longer just peach trees but houses full of people.

🗓️June 8-11 | 6:00 - 8:30 PM nightly⏰

🌟 Love Springs Family,

We have an exciting week ahead as we welcome children and families to Emerald Crossing VBS! We are looking forward to a week filled with fun, friendships, worship, and opportunities for kids to learn about Jesus and grow in their faith.

As VBS begins, we invite our church family to join us in prayer. Pray for the children who will attend, for the volunteers who will serve, and for the many families who will be impacted through this ministry. Ask God to prepare hearts, provide safety throughout the week, and use every lesson, song, and conversation to point children to Christ.

Thank you for being a church that invests in the next generation. We can't wait to see what God will do during this special week at Love Springs ✨

May 2nd we’ll be having a Fun Day for the kids starting at 1:00 PM at the church! ☀️🎉
Since the weather will be a little too cool, we will not be doing the water slide this time. But don’t worry—we’re letting the kids pick their own fun for our Fun Park Day!
Bring your bikes, bring your scooters, and come ready to play! We’ll have:
🏀 Basketball
⚽ Kickball
🎨 Sidewalk chalk
🫧 Bubbles
🎯 Co****le
…and more!
We’ll also have popsicles and popcorn for everyone to enjoy! 🍿🍧
Please let us know ahead of time if your child will be attending so we can make sure we have enough snacks and supplies for everyone.
We can’t wait for a fun afternoon together! 💛
