Well praise the Lord Beloved! Good morning to you and happy Labor Day. I hope you are enjoying your holiday.
I am excited to announce we will be in 2 Peter in our Wednesday night Bible study.
Peter wrote his first epistle to encourage his readers to respond properly to external opposition. His second epistle focuses on internal opposition caused by false teachers whose destructive heresies can seduce believers into error and immortality. While first Peter speaks of the new birth through the living Word, second Peter stresses the need for growth in the grace and knowledge of Christ. The best antidote for error is a mature understanding of the truth. Bring your Bible and notebook and come and join us, would love to see you ar Bible study.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Back to School/End of Summer cookout tonight! We had a great time and the food was delicious! We appreciate everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. Special thanks to Larry and Tracy for cooking the hamburgers and hot dogs for us! The evening was fun and even though we didn’t get too many pictures this time, many good memories were made. Please remember to pray for our students and teachers this school year! Also, if you want a blessing bag for your student, let one of us at the church know and we can get them one. God is good and thank you all again for coming out and joining us tonight! You’re all a blessing and we love you! 💛

☀️This is the day the Lord has made! We will REJOICE and be GLAD in it, glory! 🙌

Some reminders for today:
• Remember to pick up your new Sunday School book after class. We will be heading to Romans for the fall quarter.

• Lord’s Supper will immediately follow the worship service.

• The Back to School/End of Summer cookout party is tonight! Invite someone to come with you and wear your school shirt. If you want to bring something, feel free to!

• There will be a little church sitting on the prize table tonight. Bring your spare change because anything we collect will go to the Oklahoma Baptist Children’s Homes. More will be shared about this ministry this evening.

• Pray for our event and that someone might accept Christ as their Savior!

• Have a great day and remember, we love you! Summer is coming to an end and it has been a good one! We have truly been blessed. 💛

We had a great time at the Leadership Training held at Big Arbor! It was great to see all of our association friends and to enjoy some sweet fellowship. Thank you to those who attended from our church! We appreciate you!

Since we are having a “Back to School” party, you are encouraged to wear your school shirt to get an extra chance at the gift basket that will be given away at the end of our event! It’s all in good fun…but…be sure to wear your OU attire! 😉

If you want to go to the leadership training at Big Arbor on Saturday, the van will leave from church at 8:30 that morning. The training begins at 10:00. Lunch will be provided and we should be back at the church around 3:00. Anyone who wants to go is welcome to! 🚐
