I know that godly candidates are few and far between, but we can make a change at the ballot box. Dr. Jerry Falwell used to say, "Good christians are good citizens!"Let's not forget that, as believers, our citizenship is in heaven. Let's live and vote like it!
7 Biblical Guidelines for Voting:
1. I will vote for the most pro-life candidate because God hates the shedding of innocent blood -Prov. 6:16 There are six things that the Lord hates,Seven that are an abomination [to Him: 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,19 A false witness who declares lies, And one who ]spreads strife among brothers.
2. I will vote for the most pro-Israel candidate - Gen. 12:3- -And I will bless those who bless you,�And the one who curses you I will [curse.�And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
3. I will vote for the most pro-debt reduction candidate - Prov. 22:7- The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.
4. I will vote for the most pro- work ethic candidate - 2 These. 3:10 - For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.
5. I will vote for the most pro-marriage candidate - Gen. 2:24 - For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. Male and female!
6. I will vote for the candidate who understands the biblical role of government - Rom. 13
7. I will vote for the candidate who is not afraid to say Jesus is Lord!

Church, this is an exciting day! In our nation's capital, the word of God will be read aloud from Genesis to Revelation throughout this week. Isaiah 55:11 says that God' word will not return void, but will accomplish what He desires. As there was a revival during Nehemiah's day, as Ezra the scribe read the word aloud, may one begin in our time in our nation. I believe that Jesus is coming soon. I know there is a falling away from the faith in our nation, but God's word is still true, powerful, and life changing. May we respond to His word with conviction and repentance. May God fill our pulpits today with men on fire who will hide behind the cross and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. God help me to preach today as a dying man to dying men! Church pray! To God be the glory!!

Well, Sunday is here and the tomb is empty. "Now I've a Hope that will surely endure, after the passing of time; I have a future in heaven secure, there in those mansions sublime" and "its all because of God's Amazing Grace" that I believed the gospel 48 years ago. I'm heaven born and heaven bound! Our resurrected Lord is coming again! I hope you are ready! Glory to God!

Good morning FB family and friends. Join us, if you can't make it to church this morning, on Covington's Calvary page at 10:30am. God's grace is needed for our salvation as well as our sanctification. May we die to self, live for God, and look for Jesus! God is truth and wed need truth for uncertain times.

Every WORSHIP experience should be followed by a WORKING experience. We are to take off our shoes for WORSHIP. We are to put them back on for SERVICE.

My first live stream only lasts for 58 seconds. I streamed after that and it worked fine in case someone wondered if we ever got back on.

Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia has canceled in person services tomorrow, Feb. 1st. due to snow and sub- freezing temperatures expected for Sunday morning. Wind chills in single digits. Also, our after church lunch trip to Buckners in Jackson has been postponed to a later date. I will live stream from my home at 10:30 am during our usual worship time. I hope you can join me for bible study (Covington's Calvary FB page). I already miss not being with our people in person for worship. May God keep you warm and safe!
