Rejoicing in that after five months of chronic headaches I am up and dressed and heading out to a speaking engagement this morning at a local assisted living. I was invited back in June to come and lead a Bible study there and have not been able to make it. Today I will just lead that devotion at 10 AM but thank You Lord Jesus and my Heavenly Father that You have eased my pain!

💥 Surprise Mom Update 💥

I spoke with mom tonight and we had a crazy thing happen...we ALREADY received the results of her temporal artery biopsy!!

The crazy news is that the biopsy showed she was negative for arteritis. This diagnosis is two-fold for us...we are happy with the negative result and feel truly blessed BUT we are confused and slightly discouraged because that means we still don't have answers for all the pain she has been in or the culprit for her headaches.

She is going to follow up with the neurologist for further testing and hopefully we get some answers into what is causing this discomfort and pain.

We truly appreciate all your prayers during this time.

God is Good...ALL THE TIME...ALL THE TIME...God is Good!!

Update on this beautiful woman I call mom ❤

She got a call from the hospital and she goes in for the temporal artery biopsy tomorrow at 2:30.

She did get some sad news....they have to shave a patch of her hair....and we all know she takes great joy in being fixed up and her hair. When we spoke we had a quick giggle about how silly it was but still...not fun!!!

Please be praying that God will guide the surgeons hands as they do the biopsy and that we will get results and answers quickly.

Mom Update ❤

Just spoke with mom. They still do not have the results from the doppler ultrasound yet but the neurologist wants to go ahead and move forward with the temporal artery biopsy. The biopsy will be done next Tuesday and they are going to go ahead and discharge her to rest at home.

Plrase pray for strength for mom and Lee ❤

Also pray for steady hands for the doctor!!

Final Update of the Night (6/22)

Continuing to Praise the Lord that it isn't cancer and no brain surgery is needed!!

The neurologist came by and told mom that tomorrow they will do more labwork along with an ultrasound of her arteries. Once they have the results they will decide on whether or not a temporal artery biopsy is needed.

Our prayers for tonight will continue to be for God to send people in the path for mom to minister to, pain relief from the headaches, and if the biopsy is needed that God protect her from any side effects.

We are so thankful for all the kind words and support you guys are sending her way ❤

Update on Mom:

God is Good ALL THE TIME!!!

My mom just spoke with the neurosurgeon and the MRI has showed that there is NO CANCER/NO TUMOR. The spot on the MRI that they were concerned about is an abnormal enlarged blood vessel. This means NO BRAIN SURGERY!!

The next step is that a regular neurologist will come and speak about what the other option for the "culprit" is which is artery/blood flow issues in her brain. The procedure option for this issue is a temporal artery biopsy. Once the neurologist comes by they will decide if they want to do the procedure before she leaves the hospital or if they want to try and treat with meds first.

Prayer Warriors Unite!!

My family covets your prayers always but especially right now. My mom was having some very bad headaches that wouldn't go away. She went to the doctor to get checked out and after some other tests ended up sending her for an MRI.

Yesterday we got the results of the MRI and they found a lesion on her brain but at the time the specifics of it were inconclusive. They called her and sent her directly to the hospital in Athens and she is there now.

This morning she will be receiving another MRI to give a better idea or location, size, etc. and by this afternoon we will know about surgery, treatment, etc.

As you can imagine this has all moved very fast and is VERY overwhelming for us all. We are praying for healing and that God will use every person she meets as a ministry opportunity.

I will be providing updates on here as the day goes on but we beg you all to be praying with us as we navigate these unknown waters.

Andre and Nataly … I asked them how I could pray with them and Andre asked for his grandmother who is not well and Nataly has a close friend that needs a prayer. Travelling and ministering in other countries has allowed me to meet so many AMAZING people.

Today I have the honor and privilege of singing at the wedding ceremony for Samuel Vasquez and Sofia Molnar. The poster that I’m holding they made to welcome friends and family that were traveling internationally for the celebration. You’ll notice the United States flag at the bottom of the poster. I was the last person to arrive so I get to keep the poster!

I have loved watching Samuel grow into a man over these last 15 or so years. For those of you from Lake County Florida he loved eating at the Old Crow in Umatilla. We would take it to go and sit in my little house and watch Andy Griffith !!! He would say to me “oh Cindy, Barney is so crazy!

May the Lord bless this union and may the two of them be used in a mighty way for God‘s kingdom!
