New sermon series for the 24-25 school year.

"His Story, Our Story, My Story"

I was looking for a good children's Bible to read with my grandkids. The Bibles I looked at were good, but it seemed that they were often missing the point of the story. Noah's ark is a horrid story of human failure and God's redemption, but our kids Bibles didn't point that story toward Jesus. They print pretty pictures of zebras and birds. The heroes of children's stories often don't point to the failures of the people we hold up as heroes...and thus miss the opportunity to say 'we are just like them...we mess up and God, through Christ, doesn't give up on us just like he didn't give up on Abraham and Sarah...and he sends Jesus to redeem us."

As Paul Harvey would say, lets find out 'the rest of the story'. We are going to take the common stories found in young children's bibles and connect the dots to our own lives and most importantly, to Jesus.

MANAGER OF LOGISTICS AND PRODUCTION
Latonia, KY

UMCFood, a ministry of the Untied Methodist Church, is searching for a FULL-TIME Logistics and Production Manager.

UMCFOOD provides thousands of free meals daily to children across Northern KY and Greater Cincinnati. This position is responsible for our warehouse operations including shipping and receiving palletized shipments, as well as supervising a production crew that prepares individual servings of fresh fruits and vegetables to utilize in our meals.

WORSKING CONDITIONS:
• An atmosphere of respect, fun, love, and God-pleasing
• Able to be on your feet constantly
• Able to life up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Air-Conditioned facility
• General hours of operation 7a-7p Monday-Saturday (you are not expected to work those hours, but these are the hours you may be required to be at the warehouse) – TRANSLATION: NO nights or Sundays!

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Growing Disciple of Jesus
• Regular Participant in the life of a local church
• 2) Able to articulate your faith to others
• 3) Organized, detail oriented
• 4) Punctual, committed, dependable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Organize warehouse; keeping track of stock, rotating stock
• Pulling orders for delivery to central Kitchens
• Keeping on top of significant amounts of paper (tracking orders, production sheets, inventory tracking, inventory sheets, transfers, returns, etc.)
• Working closely with the accounting department on inventory tracking and reconciliation
• Leading high school students who are responsible for production
• Leadership style of encouragement, redirection, and an attitude of developing people through character and abilities

COMPENSATION:
• Salary 47-52k per annum
• NO HEALTH INSURANCE
• 403b match up to 3%
• Paid time off

UMCFOOD has a full-time job position for DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM COMPLIANCE.

This position is based in Latonia, KY and is 43-48 hours per week. The job requires you to visit our partner sites to assure accurate participation in our program and compliance with internal, federal and state regulations.

This position is a critical part of our lead team, and helps formulate the vision, direction and success of our ministry.

This is a salaried position. There are very rare nights (training only), and even rarer weekends. (Most of our sites are Monday - Friday). A company vehicle is provided to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

Benefits of this position is paid time off and 403b 3% match.

ALL YEAR ROUND POSITIONS offer 403b and paid time off.

1) ADMIN ASSISTANT to help with paperwork flow and communication with our partner sites. In-office position, 32-40 hours per week. Good pay. Some flexibility in Schedule. Year Round Position

2) SUMMER Positions, end of May through Mid-August. AMERICORP. Must be 17 or older and have a vehicle you can use to deliver meals to our partner agencies. Cash payments of $17 per hour, $4/hr educational stipend to be used at the college/trade school of your choosing.

3) Year Round, Part time kitchen/delivery help. Must have a vehicle to deliver meals to our partner agencies. Work in one of our central kitchens to help prepare meals, and then drop them off at our partner agencies so they can feed kids in their program. .40/mile for use of your vehicle, plus $14/hour.
