Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded by Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882, to serve as a mutual benefit society to working class and immigrant Catholics in the United States, we have grown to almost 2 million members worldwide.Our charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity to our own Food for Families and Coats for Kids projects and other local charities, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless. In 2015, the Knights gave over $175 million directly to charity and performed over 73.5 million man-hours of voluntary service. Our insurance program has more than 2 million insurance contracts, totaling more than $100 billion of life insurance in force. We serve our parish and community while working each day to create a better world through charity. If you are looking to live out your faith in the spirit of charity by helping others, the Knights of Columbus Council welcomes you to join them. Membership is limited to Catholic men, age 18 years and older.
