Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church in Covington, Va. Christian services have been held in Covington since the beginnings of settlement in what is now the Downtown Historic District as listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The oldest established congregations are those of the First Presbyterian Church and the Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church, both of which were formed in 1819, a year after Cov-ington was incorporated as a town.
